I saw that movie about a month ago. I found it facinating how given the opportunity to change ones life (or even the life of your child) for the better, they were still hesistant to change their course of life.
Its definately an eye-opener, I highly recommend it as well.
The film shows very raw and human emotions, not scripted at all. You involve yourself so much in the movie because its just so real.
This weekend I saw this movie and I highly recommend it very sad movie. The most stigmatized people in Sonagachi, Calcutta's red light district, are not the prostitutes, but their children. In the face of abject poverty, abuse, and despair, these kids have little possibility of escaping their mother's fate or for creating another type of life. Yet, these children of prostitutes embark on a transformational journey.
