The rigth has had the opportunity for generations. Let's hope the CIA doesn't destroy democratically elected left wingers the same way they did to Allende ( Chile) and Jacobo Arbenz ( Guatemala) to name a few.
Amen! It's been almost impossible to see if the left could ever work properly in Latin America because you get the AMERICANS making this impossible!
I am happy about these elections.

So, it looks as if Evo won the elections in Bolivia.
.
I am not aware that there are any bolivian foro members.
Anyways.... what do you guys think of the left wing wave going through Latin America?
Even when they are not, by far, the same thing, the fact that the new governments in Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, Panama, Republica Dominicana, Bolivia and, pressumably, soon in Chile, Mexico and Paraguay are showing a clear tendency towards the left -in some cases, that is to say the least- is going to have an impact in the future face of our continent.
How do you feel about it? Think the left can deliver to both the poor... and the rest?
