Here's the funny thing about this foro... People only support THEIR OWN local talent. We have a ton of local artists trying to make it out in the scene and most of them are working really hard at promoting themselves in a positive light and trying to get exposure and a good fan base etc. etc.

when people start to dog on local talent other than their own friends, no one says anything. No one stands up for the 'other' locals... nope. Its only when it comes to our own friends favorites that we take a hissy fit if someone claims to not like them or their music.

If we really want to be all political about this, then we need to support ALL local artists, including those we dont necessarily like. We have to stop 'hating' if you will.

But truly, how realistic is this notion? We are going to support those we like and not support those we dont. Simple as that. Its freedom of opinion, freedom of expression.

I agree if it's something that nobody knows like the release of a new album or a performance or something than cool by all means people have the right to promote......BUT the threads are stupid more than half the time.

I don't know Genie. I have seen a lot of members criticize a lot of artists and events. I guess it goes with being an artist or promoter or whatever the case is. I would say the amount of fito threads are 50/50.....half the people write stuff promoting him and the other half cant stand him. I think the Fito/Broccoli connection is there for eternity. In his eulogy, when he dies of old age at age 96, there'll be some reference to broccoli and people will be like, "WTF? What does broccoli have to do with Fito?" And only a handful of us will know...

The comment started by a foro member just out of the blue, nothing intended by it......and everyone thought it was a funny thing and followed with the joke.....like a comparison thing.....it really means nothing, it is not an insult, it was just one of those out of the blue things and everyone else would make reference to it (for jokes).....so by "word of mouth" it gained popularity....LOL....you had to be in the moment......

It's a foro thing.....and some people missed the train.....so now it makes no sense to you.....(I don't blame you) LOL

What was cute? Who are you refering to Euphoria? I was just trying to explain to Dulce what a Rasta is. As for the Fito and Broccoli thing we're in the same boat hun, because I don't get it either. The way people joke about it, kinda makes Fito sound like he's gay or something. That's just how it seems when people joke about it.

So can someone please explain to those who do not get what the frick you guys mean, when you talk about how Fito likes Broccoli and crap like that? If it's an inside joke that's cool, but it has been around for ever, and at this point I think that the rest of us who don't get it should be in on it too...lol

I don't know what the person that started this thread ment by rasta, but from my understanding Rasta is short for Rastafarian. A Rastafarian is someone who follows the religion of Rastafarianism.
