The real question is..... If this interview was to promote her new album in Canada.... How many of you ACTUALLY went out to buy "Oral Fixation"? One thing for sure....I can't wait for her next concert in TO....the Mongoose one was amazing.....she's a wicked performer......
Yes, that concert was amazing. And I do have the "Oral Fixation" cd's, but that's cause i'm a huge fan.

Lady I think that that Traci lady just doesn't really know Shakira.....most people outside of latin america don't really know much about her or her music other than what's happened in the last two years or so.
No kidding, Mark Dailey from CityTv called her the Brazilian bombshell that same night as her interview on Much, and the worst part is that no one corrected him.
I was only referring to her Shakira interview.....out of all the reporters/VJ's, they chose her for that specific interview.....that's what I don't get......
Yes she has presence.....and yes she's back now after giving birth.....so she needs to "ubicarse" a bit more....but she was not right for the job......
And if DIEGO FUENTES did the entire Pre-interview hype....he was passionate enough to deliver the Interview itself.....(thats what I think)
Personally for any kind of interview, my fav would be Rick Campanelli.....he has chemistry with his "celebs"....but he has moved up too....

@ Chile...it's not that Traci did not do her research, because it was more than obvious that the research was done FOR her....(as it should be by the producers)......she just doesn't know how to interview, she looked awkward.....she was just going through the motions.....why they picked her....BEATS ME!
In Traci's defense, she hasn't been back interviewing people for that long (only a couple of months or so). Before she was doing pre-taped stuff and some gig or other in L.A., I think. All of a sudden she's interviewing Madonna! and people of that caliber. It's a bit overwhelming and that'll take some getting used to, but she has great potential. Trust me when I tell you that it's better did the interview and not somebody else (although Diego would've been good too, but he only does stuff for ClipTrip). Give Traci time and she'll improve, I'm sure.

Personally I don't care too much about how the interview went. Most people would agree(male/female) that she looked hot. I also think her english has improved alot. She still has the accent, but she can express herself much better than a few years ago.

I would not say she doesn't know how to interview....I saw her one hour interview with Madonna and I thought it was great. Difference was she knew everything there was to know about Madonna as an artist and Madonna's life off the stage....she was very passionate in that interview and you could tell Madonna was interested in answering the questions.

I disagree on the tummy thing totally....I saw her on saturday night live last week and she totally has a tummy...not like a big huge one that spills over or anything but she does not have a six pack at all. She admitted that she is very aware of her looks she said she had to be and "at least look decent in public" but she said six packs are for men. She said she does work out but she hasn't had time within the last six months due to her schedule....I think she is being honest because although she has a nice body it's not a hard body. She is also a vegan so I guess that helps she probably just eats really well.
I would not buy her english Cd....don't like her much in English at all but her spanish CD is good. That single "NO" is wicked!!!!!

Tracy Melchor (the one who interviewed Shakira) was so ditzy .....not a well executed interview AT ALL.....Shakira was great though....had good, sincere answers for everything.....she kept the flow going....Diego Fuentes should have done the interview or even Matt Babel.....
And was it just me....or was anyone else a bit shocked when she came out wearing those clothes.....I sort of expected her to stand out a bit more, better clothing selection....still grungy, but something nicer & unique....
I liked the set.....the Adam & Eve Garden wanna be look.....just like her album cover....perfect promo....
.....the whole thing about women should have belly fat and leave the 6 pack to men......hmmmm.....she DOES have a six pack, she has toned up a lot and has no fat like before (good thing of course)....but those were just "palabras" to me....
Her hair looks like J-LO's hair in the "I'm Glad" video.....(Flashdance mimic video).....and the whole natural look really suits her....
I enjoyed the PRE-interview clips and videos a lot more than the actual interview.....but overall (except for the host).....it was GREAT!
They have been showing it entirely at least twice a day, since....so don't worry if you missed it....

I missed it as well What im even more sad about is the fact that if I knew she was gonna be here I could have just walked over, i'm like a few minutes away.
Oh, they'll repeat it enough times. I'm sure for the holidays it'll be on over and over again. Not to worry. I did see the very short Ellen interview last week, though, and she performed. I'm not so sure I like that last single, but Shakira's always good in interviews. She reminds me of Jewel: so deep and not a lot of people "get her". She was also on SNL last Saturday, and I also missed that one.

Yeah, she said leave the six pack to the guys, that's a manly thing. I thought she looked great. I liked the way she answered her questions; she's not at all pretentious like say Paulina Rubio.

Yo estoy un poquito decepcionado con Shakira. Don't get me wrong, she looks great and girls like that will likely make my head turn, anywhere. But if you remember how she made herself known.... and see what she has become... the way her music is being sold here... "she's latin, she's hot, she's sexy"... toda la cuestion de ser representante de la coca cola... yo se que hay un precio que pagar por la fama, pero ya yo no veo mucho de lo que llevo a shakira a ser conocida entre los latinos. Maybe I am wrong... but not being a pop fan, I once even bought one of her albums. And look at her now... looking so great but so sold out as well.

I kind of agree.....she was better before

Too bad you guys missed it!! I wont rub it in by saying that she looked REALLY HOT and that at one point she lifted her shirt to show her belly and do a little belly dance.....or that she was wearing SUPER SKIN TIGHT pants....I would not do that
GENIE I like her hair it's kind WILD....like I just had sex and this is my hair wild
