Position: Bilingual Inside Sales Agent

Background:

Medcan Health Management Inc. is a high growth health services organization. Established over 15 years ago, Medcan provides innovative solutions to individuals and corporations for issues relating to personal health, employee wellness and occupational medicine.

The Medcan Clinic focuses on individual health. Using a preventative medicine philosophy, our focus is on “keeping busy people healthy”. Our core service is the “Comprehensive Health Assessment”: a 4-hour exhaustive “executive medical” that determines your state of health and provides you with appropriate strategies to improve your wellbeing. Medcan also provides extensive diagnostic, primary care and specialty healthcare services.

We are one of the largest providers of this kind of service in North America, performing more assessments than major institutions such as Johns Hopkins, the Mayo Clinic and the Cleveland Clinic in the United States.

Medcan is located in downtown Toronto.

The Position:

We have an immediate need for an enthusiastic, energetic and highly organized bilingual (French and English) individual to join our team in the capacity of an Inside Sales Agent. The individual must be results oriented and client focused. Due to the nature of this position, the individual must also enjoy working on the telephone.

The Bilingual Inside Sales Agent will report to the Team Leader- Customer Marketing.

Here are some of the Inside Sales Agent’s responsibilities:

- Coordinate Medcan’s Executive Health Assessments for new and existing clients
- Communicate appointment times with Medcan Clients by phone, e-mail and fax
- Ensure the highest standards of client service are provided consistently
- Coordinate with other Clinic staff to ensure smooth delivery of service
- The individual will be expected to maintain a pre-determined average of bookings/day

Experience and Skills:
- Prior Inside Sales or outgoing Call Centre experience
- Superior communication skills- verbal, written and electronic format
- Superior organizational and time management skills
- Bilingual (French and English)
- Hands on and proven experience in a “soft sell” environment.

- Exceptional Telephone Customer Service skills/experience
- Intermediate to advanced level in MS Office and Outlook

This is an entry-level Sales position with variable compensation- offering a package that includes a base salary plus commission and benefits.

The Position:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and highly organized individual for the position of Referral Coordinator. An individual who is client focused, thorough, exceptional at multi-tasking and enjoys working on the telephone would be well suited to this position.

The Referral Coordinator will report to the Director Clinical Services.

Here are some of the Referral Coordinator’s responsibilities:

- Coordinate follow-up care from Medcan’s Comprehensive Health Assessment
- Arrange appointments with specialists, MRI’s etc.
- Communicate appointment times with Medcan Clients by phone, email, fax
- Ensure client experience with specialist was a positive one; solicit feedback
- Update Physician and Referral Clinic information on internal database
- Provide administrative assistance to the Clinic Team
- Assist with organization and filing of medical reports



This position also assists with the operations of the MEDCAN Clinic by:
- Monitoring and facilitating the flow of patients through the Clinic
- Updating medical information on internal database
- Facilitating the necessary follow-up care of patients
- Coordinating with other Clinic staff to ensure smooth delivery of service
- Ensuring high standards of client service are provided consistently

Experience and Skills:

- Medical Office Administration Diploma and similar experience preferred
- Superior organizational and time management skills
- Superior communication skills- verbal, written and electronic format
- Telephone Client Service experience an asset
- Intermediate to advanced level in MS Office and Outlook

The Position:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and highly organized individual for the position of Financial Analyst. This position performs financial and cost accounting analysis of data and is responsible for extracting financial data from various accounting and information systems.

This position is suited to an individual who is thorough, exceptional at multi-tasking and has proven experience in accounting processes, reconciliations and value added analysis.

The Financial Analyst will report to the Controller.

Here are some of the position’s responsibilities:

- Assist in the month end process through the recording of journal entries and the preparation of reconciliations
- Provide support in the financial statement analysis function in the form of account analysis and review and offer recommendations generated from analysis
- Provide support in general accounting duties required by the accounting team throughout the month
- Participate in projects to improve the operational and financial effectiveness of the unit
- Compile and analyze financial information related to operations key performer indicators and reports
- Record, classify and summarize financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Assist in Year end process by completing reconciliations and supporting schedules to working papers
- Use various software applications such as spreadsheets, databases and statistical packages to assemble and/or format data and reports
- Perform statistical, cost and financial analysis of reported data
- Coordinate with other staff to ensure smooth delivery of service

Experience and Skills:

- CMA or CGA designation or advanced stages of completion
- Superior organizational and time management skills
- Experience with Accpac is essential
- Advanced level in MS Excel
