In Guate it's pretty much the same thing as in el salvi. One or two types of dishes might be different, but everything else is the same.

We need your thoughts, ideas, creative juices to make this happen and of course to REPRESENT!!!! hehehe How do ppl in Nicaragua, El Salvador, Argentina, Colombia, Panama, Mexico, etc... celebrate... what are KEY things that are done. Things that we can replicate into a display. THANKS!!!!

Lots of fireworks, try to display some unused ones; also, display little bottles of rum ( go to the liquor store), a nativity set ( even dollar stores have them), FOOD (pictures from the net): turkey, chicken, rice, tamales, coffee, pan dulce (panetone should do, close enough to torta de llema), music ( buy the Christmas salsa Disc on sell at Shopper's Drug marts), very important are NACIMIENTOS ( too much work though, just show them another internet picture), and pictures of posadas aswell.

In Chile is summer, so we do BBQ in the backyard....usually lamb... we drink something called "cola de mono" which is milk w/ coffee, cinnamon, clover, and aguardiente or pisco + sugar...
