Sending all my love - Linear was an old school track, but definatley got updated to the pot luck memories file with Colombiana kicking the dancing for the new video..lol You know it.  Now that reminds me of the potluck as well.

Any Stevie B or TKA track reminds me of old school spic-gino days...Ewwwww penny loafers with white socks and black pants..lolol That is exactly what you were wearing when I met you. Did I mention you had a mullet, and you were wearing those Stitches suits that all the guys used to wear (black with bolero jacket with the 3 little chains on the right side, and the MC Hammer style pants.)  LOL I will never forget that.

Those old Eddie Santiago or Lalo Rodriguez salsas remind me of those dances we used to go to at Driftwood Community Centre. Even remind me of running from 30 L.A. boys chasing me down from Scadding Court thinking I was Jane Finch crew..lol Driftwood dances were the best, remember the Dia de la Raza parades that would end there, then everyone was off to Brisas (on Milvan).  I was never a big fan of Scadding court dances.

I remember people asking for "The Choice is Yours" - Black Sheep over and over again..to the DJ I had at my "machete weilding" house party..lol. I ended up having 3 gangs in that house all fighting.... that was the only night I ever saw Jane-Finch and L.A. boys + Mara Masa boys fighting side by side against a bunch of negritos..lol they left my basement in shreds...but I sent like 5 to the hospital thanks to my hefty rusty machete!!..lol I was at that party, mind you for like an hour only, so I missed the machetada, but boy did I hear about it the next day and for like months.

I remember Cocoband was big when Sabor Latino was the club to hit. That was a wicked club! Imagine being 16, you were allowed in 'cause you were a band member and you got to whine it up with 19 + 20 year old hynas..lol Man...those were the days... Yup, Sabor brings back memories too, remember the first time Leo Dan came it was there?  I remember.  You were there with ur sis, and ur bro and the "short sisters"LOL.  I'm surprised Vince didnt end up owning the place. LOL

Why oh why must u make this thread.  I associate a lof of my life to music so I have a lot.  But here are a few:

A few of yours are also mine (Bel Biv Devoe, Aerosmith), all remind me of elementary school. More of elementary school:  Around the Way Girl (LL Cool J), Funky Cold Medina and Wild Thing (Tone Loc), It Feels Good (Toni Tony Tone), The First Time (Surface), One More Try (Timmy T), Because I Love You (Stevie B), Set if off (Strafe), Sending All my Love (Linear), right Latinsoulchild?  LOL.  The Humpty Dance, Me So Horny (2 Live Crew), Milli Vanilli, Just a Friend (Biz Marquis), Soul 2 Soul.......The list is endless.

High School - Refer to McO's 1992 thread.

More High School - Chief Rocka (Lords of the Underground), Passin Me By (Pharcyde), Digable Planets. Spanish Reggae, especially El General and Nando Boom, Cypress, Cocoband, Amores como el Nuestro (salsa)... also an endless list.

Mary J. Blige (Real Love) and Old school reaggae (Ting a Ling, Flex, Wife, Coca Cola bottle Shape, etc.) - when I was 15 hanging out with my girl D in jungle.  Those were amazing days.

I'll Make Love to U (Boyz II Men) - It came out when hubby and I were dating.  Also the first Jerry Rivera tracks came out when we were dating

I Love You Always Forever (Donna Lewis), Don't Speak (No Doubt), and No Diggity (Blackstreet) - this is gonna sound weird, but these songs came out when I was pregnant with my first daughter so everytime I hear them it reminds me of that.

Set a Drift on Memory Bliss (PM Dawn)

Mang, im never gonna finish.......Damn you twin

As we all know, certain songs remind us of certain people, time, places, events etc.

List some songs and what relevance they hold to you.

Here are some of mine:

Day and Night by Isyss - Takes me a back a few summers ago. It was one of the best summers ever.  Everything was going really well, it was just one of those times in life where nothing could go wrong. Everything was good.

If I could go by Angie Martinez - Same summer. Just my 'feel good' song. I blast this when Im feeling blue, and I dance around in my mickey mouse underwear and life is good again.

Anything by Incubus - Two summers ago, sitting in a park parking lot, at night, smoking a big one while watching the stars with Colochita

Mayor Que Yo by Daddy - Reminds me of Confu and Caliche... hehehehe

Poison by Bel Biv Devoe - Reminds me of my girl Colochita and Amnesia. Amnesia always plays this track, so I automatically go into "Amnesia" dance trance mode... even if Im driving I start to do my old school shuffle

Knocking the Boots  by H-Town - I was trying to be all seductive and sexy to this song as I was walking with my head looking back, that when I turned my head back to look ahead of me, I ran into a wall. Yah... not so sexy after that...

I Wanna Sex You Up by Colour Me Badd - Grade 6 y'all! I thought I was bad-azz gangster girl cuz I had the tape and I was saying the word "Sex" .... such a nerd!

Janie's Got A Gun by Aerosmith - Back to elementary school, to my rocker phase. Complete with the stone wash jeans and bad attitude.

If I Cant Have You by Yvonne Elliman - Back, back, back in the day when Solid Gold was on tv. I used to dance around in my living room hairbrush in hand and pretend that I used to sing it.

K, now your turn!
