Child abuse is soooo sad and it s something that happen very often ,.. We need to remember that we have to start doing something to prevent this in future generations,....also sometimes physic abuse doesn't leave marks in our lives as mental or verbal abuse will do,.. Sometimes parents , specially here in Canada, do not hit the children but they insult them,. I hate when i heard parents use course laungage like idiot,. stupid,etc,.. also some parents think that giving material things is enough for their children,..but children need to know that we love them,. tell the children how much u do love them,..as well as showing them by a hugging,. reading a book,. playing with them,,.. I know sometimes we don't have a lot of time,. but five minutes of quality time can make a difference in our children lives,..

But in regards to the poem... its very unfortunate, but child abuse happens way too often in our society. People have to realize that children are children, and that they will make mistakes... but no mistake or disobedience warrents abuse. Correction yes, but abuse no.
