I'm kinda late but all i got to say is that all this hating towards SN is not cool, all i got to say is that i always get bash on this forum but at the end of the day all it did for me was more love from people at the places i went, believe me some times feel like a celeb people coming up to me getting me drinks tell me how cool i'm but i dont really care about that i dont need props from nobody "I'm all about the money". Sabor Nuevo, I can't say that I know Ricky personally, not well enough to judge him, but I can tell you this: maybe you're right. Maybe he's "sitting on a winning ticket" 'cause nobody here can deny the guy's talent, even the people who are jealous of it. Sometimes it can be frustrating to see people who have so much talent and who have the whole package, and not take full advantage of the opportunities.
But maybe the fact that "he's content doing what he's doing right now" can be because he might not measure success the way you do. I don't know that for sure; like I said, I don't know him well enough, but some people do measure success not by the amount of money they make or the number of records they sell. Maybe he just has love for the craft and not for what he can get out of it. From what I've seen of Ricky's personality, I find him humble and he seems to really, really enjoy what he does. He seems to be genuine about his love for the music and also genuine about his intentions of seeing others succeed, even if he's not the one making tons of dough. I seriously don't see Ricky, or those in his band, actually, doing things the way you, Sabor Nuevo, do things. You're more of a business man and you really have the right attitude for it. There are other people who don't have half the talent that Ricky does and they probably will be very successful, moneywise, probably even more than Ricky, just by being pushers and a little on the shady side. I'm not saying you are, you probably just do things the way business people do things: just going by the numbers, but you're not very blessed in the "principles" department, if you know what I mean. So before you judge, put yourself in the other person's shoes. I'm sure you'd love to manage Ricky's career because it would be a financial gold mine, but trust me, not everybody thinks that way. Maybe he will become successful in the future doing his own thing. Who's to say. But I also agree with LadyBug. If you have a beef with him, or if you are interested in lending a helping hand with his career and truly want to give the guy some advice, just have a couple of beers with him and try to make him understand... in person. Don't do it on a public forum. Trust me, you're the one looking bad here, 'cause this foro people kind of know how to read between the lines.

There's no need to tell SN or anyone else what to do or what not to do....

I mean how many times have we all critiziced their shows, events, promotion style....???

It's all about RESPECT.

Anyone can "tell" someone else how to run their business......it's the way you "advise"
someone that matters......in the form of a command, no one will listen!
(a smart business person will always take into consideration the "voice" of their clients)
and SN has actually done that sometimes....

I don't know about you guys, but when I say SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL TALENT, I'm referring
NOT only to artists....but producers, DJ's, dancers, musicians and especially promoters.....
I might not like a certain event that a promoter is hosting....and I wont go.....but I wont trash talk it either.
Same goes with an artist, a producer and even a dancer.....
As a consumer I will pick and choose what I want.....if the person is not catering to me I will go elsewhere.

The problem with Toronto is that the Latin community is very small....everyone knows everyone, they
all think they are "friends".....so they feel the need to give each other comments and advise that just come out wrong......Plus they have all backstabbed each other at least one time in the scene........

Actions speak louder than words.....and realistically speaking, it's all about the $$$ in this ent. industry.

I don't know about all this smack. I have yet to see a fight that leads to violence here. These SB boyz seem shady. Ricky for me is a singer nobody can touch in this city. I've been to Lula a couple times and there hasn't been a band more musically clean than his. All this bad talk about Ricky is just outright envy. I may be new to this foro place but I know who can sing and who can't.

Anyway, what i don't agree with is when i joined to be a member, i looked over the old threads to check out what type of people come on this forum. I read some personal things, fights started directly at individuals. I may not know these people, but i believe that a person's opinions should be critized, not the person. Honestly I don't take seriously everything that is said here. Sure I have gotten into arguments with two foro memebers, but I never took what they said seriously. I think what gets people started is that some things might be said as a joke, but the next person might not realize this and take it to heart. At the same time I feel that there are certain types of jokes that people should not make, just out of respect to other people in this foro. Like racial jokes, making fun of people's religion, and jokes of that nature should be kept to yourself, but other than that everything ois in good fun. If some people argue it's because they want to argue, and some even enjoy it.

As for people defending Ricky.....well, what can I say.....Respect is Earned!
He has been nothing but respectful to people who deserve it and this is

The only thing I agree with is that YES.....some immature people might
