HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN THIS MOVIE? I'M ONLY HALF WAY THROUGH IT AND I REALLY LIKE IT.... IT'S SORT OF LIKE A SCENE BY SCENE OF HOW EVERY RACE PERCEIVES RACISM.... IT FEATURES: SANDRA BULLOCK, MATT DAMON, BRENDAN FRASER, LUDRACRIS.....AND SO MANY MORE I HAVE TO POINT OUT THAT I ACTUALLY "APPRECIATED" WHEN ONE OF THE PERSIAN CHARACTERS SAID: "SINCE WHEN IS PERSIAN, ARAB?" (you gotta watch it to see why he said that) I HOPE SOME PEOPLE ACTUALLY GRASP THAT LINE AND EDUCATE THEMSELVES..... Also, I'm sure that up until that point, many people would think that that family was ARAB anyway.....unless you understood what language they were speaking....LOL....it's just like the Korean, Japanese issue: people think Orientals are ALL chinese.......ignorant but TRUE......(right MIGUEL?) LOL I felt bad for the Latino Locksmith......and the Black lady that got all felt up by the white cop...... Anyway......back to the movie for me.....LOL...... WHAT DID YOU GUYS THINK?......AND DO YOU BELIEVE THOSE RACIAL SCENARIOS ARE 100% REAL.... MEANING....DO THEY HAPPEN ON A DAILY BASIS, EVEN IN CANADA.................I DO!

On Saturday night KE TE PICA made a comment to COLOMBIANA..... about how is it possible that she knows about so many cultures and she's Colombian..... Well, the simple answer was that she is Multi-cultural.....when in reality she has taken the time to learn, study and appreciate other cultures.....she has only expanded her mind and possiblities in life.

I totally agree with you Ladybug, everyone should educate themselves. I mean we live in a multicultural country.
When I fist came from Mexico, I was a bit scared to talk to other latinos, becasue they used to make fun of how I talked, they said I talked "Cantadito" which I hated. But after a while I didn't care, I began to ask around about other cultures and now I enjoy every culture at the fullest. I mean I can go to a Dominican Club, have a cuban drink and end up at a Salvadorian joint eating pupusas. I mean what other country can do the same? We are so lucky to have so many cultures around, everyone should learn to appreciate them.

By I see it as.....if I can go out of my way and educate myself about other nationalities, why can't others do the same......THE MOTTO IS: "If you don't know......ASK!" lol I actually know that Philipino, Viet, Korean, Chinese, Japanese are NOT the same thing..... so just becuase they look it, I won't assume it...... (I will ask....it's not rude to ask, but it's ignorance if you don't)

I went to see this movie a while back when it was in the movie theatre. Its a very strong and realistic movie. I personally loved it, just because it teaches everyone to stop stereotyping and generalizing other rases.
Believe it or not is the same with latin cultures. I mean all the fights we get are why becasue of nationality, I mean Salvadorians againd Nicaraguans or central America agains South America, or South America against Mexicans. I mean if we can not even work it out amongst ourselves, what would you think of other cultures right?
