Maybe we should have something like taste of Latin America restaurants and have the restaurants work with the clubs and sell tickets that include dinner and a show at really discounted prices with the money going to the Red Cross

Yup! but it will be raffled off separately, as an "optional venue" for the date to take place.... so it'll cost you a little bit more... but worth every penny!!!

Well this might sound dumb..... but since you also want to hear the dumb ones... here ya go.
Prob at a restaurant (I guess momentos is good too) during the day or early in the evening, something light to eat (pay your own food or not, whatever) a few bucks cover to pick up some more money... and then all the foro members that are willing to help will be raffled off as a "date" of their choice, to the movies dinner or whatever (not eddie figueroa style, lol!!) since it's all in good fun and for a good cause, I trust that most foro members would bid generously... and if you're allowed to do it in a restaurant, you might even pick up some "non foro members" in there to bid as well

You should try to get a restaurant that is willing to prepare a menu that people can choose from for about $20-$30 which includes Starter, Entree and Desert. Then you can have your show too. Or it can be a buffet which will include your performers.

@ Genie I understand that you are upset that the other countries are not offering any help. Do become the same as the other countries or else it will become a constant circle. Everyone just for themselves. Be the example on how El Salvador should have received the help from the rest of the Latin countries.

I suggest that all the proceeds from the Latin Industry Awards go to the victims of Hurricane Stan in Guatemala and El Salvador. Then and only then your credibility wouldn't suffer. I don't think people are buying into the whole Latin Award thingy. I understand that you're business men, but I also think you're crossing the line somehow. Make it up by donating at least part of the proceeds to a worthy cause.
