I met my girlfriend this summer at an intimate bbq. She was there with her friends and I was there with my friends. I liked her from the very moment that I saw her, but I was shy. Thank goodness that we had some mutual friends in common, because I got to spend some time with her and get to know her better. I then asked her formally to be my girlfriend, and she said yes. I call her my little 'Chapina' because when someone comes from Guatemala, thats the nickname that they give them. So now my little 'Chapina' and I are inseparable
My story began on December 2000. I was bored and I went to a Latin Chat and I was just chatting with friends then I got a private message from a guy who I never heard of and his nickname was so gay so I didn't pay attention at all. The next day at the same time I logged in and there he was again so this time I decided to say HI. The next day we were chatting for an hour or so...the funny thing was that he new my cousins, we used to go the same elementary school and he was right beside my class when I was in grade 4 and he was in grade 5, he used to go to pick up his friends to my class but we don't remember seeing each other. That afternoon I gave him my number and he told me that he was gonna call me at night time because he was getting his luggage ready because he was going to go to Ecuador in 3 days. Esa noche hablamos casi 4 horas por telefono pero parecia como si fuera 1 hora. We used to call each other everyday, a month later (January) he asked me out........4 months later (May)he came back to Canada and he surprised me. Nunca el me habia conocido en persona ni yo al el, solamente por telefono. The next day we were going to meet for the first time en el parque habia un huge banner that said "I Love You Adriana". A year later we had a baby boy. This January will be our 5th anniversary. The most weird part was that the day we met was on May 16, 2001 @ 9:28pm and the next year I gave birth on May 16, 2002 @ 9:28pm. I hope this topic is still active when I get back so I can give more details. For the meantime I´ll say that I met Mark through Lavalife (yeah, we were desperate! lol). At first I thought it was fate, then I thought we rushed it and was beginning to regret it but now I´m totally in love again.

Yes, its true... we exchanged looks that night at Genie's bday bash... it was destiny that her and I connected... we spoke of our mutual distaste for gino beats, we shared some shots and a couple dances... at the end of the night we both left with a sense of urgency in our hearts... and the memories lingered in our hearts and in our minds....
Then if by fate again, we met up at Confu's bday bash, and the sparks just flew... her eyes and my eyes met... again we had some shots... ke te shots to be exact... we danced together, laughed together, used the same pick up lines together...... and thats when we both knew that it was destiny that we should party together forever!

WELL ME AND R MET SIX YRS AGO AT SANTO DOMINGO SOCIAL CLUB BUT HE WAS SEEING MY GOOD FRIEND AND TRYING TO HOOK ME UP WITH HIS FRIEND (WHO WAS ONLY GOOD FOR A JOKE OR TWO) LOL
BUT WE KEPT IN TOUCH CUZ THAT NIGHT WE HIT IT OFF EXCEPT HE WAS WITH HER! LOL WE ALL WENT OUT A FEW TIMES AS A GROUP AND ME AND HIM ALWAYS ENDED UP NEXT TO EACHOTHER TALKING OR DANCING BUT NADA CAME OF IT THERE LITTLE DATING SESSION LASTED THREE WEEKS BUT ME AND HIM KEPT IN TOUCH HE WOULD SEE ME EVERYDAY AFTER THAT AT A BUS STOP AND THEN AT THE SOCCER FIELDS AND WE JUST KEPT IN TOUCH BUT HE MOVED TO LOS ANGELES FOR A BIT SO LOST TOUCH AND THEN SAW EACHOTHER AGAIN IN JUNE AND EVER SINCE THEN BEEN TOGETHER AS BF'S BUT WE ALWAYS KNEW WE WOULD END UP TOGETHER I GUESS!! We met 9 years and a half ago, it seams like yesterday. I totally believe in fate. I was en la practica del coro de la iglesia when he came into the room, he was there to play the bongos and I was playing the triangle and singing. As soon as we saw each other we could not stop, everytime I saw his way he was staring, we started playing basketball together and being friends, we went to a party on march 23rd and that is where he ask me to be his girlfriend it was so sweet, I was only 17 then so I said yes. We are still going strong.
We met at Harbourfront. He remembers, I don't. Then we saw each other again at Sabor Latino. He had a girlfriend. Nothing happened. Then we hooked up at Plaza Flamingo (he was girlfriend-less by then). I taught him how to dance. (He said to me "Would you like to make 20 bucks?) I almost slapped him in the face. He meant to teach him how to dance... How could I not fall in love with him after that?) His pick up line was "You don't look like you go to university." How cute, he thought I looked dumb. So honest. So brutal. So unique. How could I not fall for him?

Just by seeing each other at clubs, especially Las Brisas (back in 92, 93 when it was on Milvan). Or we used to see each other at all the concerts and spanish events. We eventually just started saying hi to each other, then dancing, then talking.
As for fate, im a big believer in it. I think it was, and its funny cause i used to always see him around but never did i think i was gonna end up with him and here we are.
