Early 80's had really good Rap and Hip Hop (Planet Rock by Afrika Baambataa). Also Chubb Rock, Run DMC, Big Daddy Kane, Kool Moe Dee, Rob Ease & D.J. E-Z Rock; the list goes on. But also the early nineties (my favs, Lords of the Underground, Tribe Called Quest, Naughty by Nature, Pharcyde, Cypress, Wu Tang, Digable Planets. Man I can go on and on, but I think I really into the early to mid 90's rap and hip hop. Since I was a teenager then I was better able to understand and appreciate the music.

Personally I like pretty much every era, (big surprise there, I know)
But my favorite has to be the whole G-Funk period, Pac, Snoop, Warren G, Nate Dogg all them cats
second Favorite was the old old school stuff like Run DMC, Eric B. and Rakim. LL Cool J (yes, LL COOL J, what?? u stay in the game for 20 years then come talk to me about L) the whole kangol hat days was cool.
