I was thinking just the same remember last year ..they were like 3 grand......
yup and the reason is because plasmas and lcd's are in such a demand that the companies are putting them out like crazy, in a way is better for us, more competition for each other cheaper prices for us, around xmas and after is the best time for things like this, I say just wait ;)
another place u can check is Pacific Mall http://www.pacificmalltoronto.com/en/ u can get some really good deals if u know how to talk to them. I got my dig cam 4 years ago for $800 +128 mb card when in other places just the cam was $750 plus tax and the card alone was about $125.
I just got one yesterday. 42" samsung. But remember, plasma's not good for video games (the image will burn in the screen)
For low priced TVs, check Telecity, or teletime (they're around yonge/dundas across the future shop), they have good prices (if you know how to deal with them)

did getting a huge TV make you watch tv more? i think if i had one i'd become a vegetable.
We didn't get it (my choice, actually.) But I don't think it would. It's better for watching movies, though, although I've watched movies at SIL's place and don't really like how it looks. But I love watching movies at home, especially when you get the works (DTS sound, etc.) It's so much better than going to the movies, I think.

My SIL got a 50" Widescreen with the stand for like 3500 @ Future Shop and then we saw the exact same one at the Future Shop near Yonge & Sheppard for 2,000, stand included. It was on sale because it had some scratch or something on the actual tv. We almost bought it, but were broke at the time. You can go in and check at your closest Future Shop and ask for their clearance items, I guess.

I have been looking in different places for a PLasma Tv, around 27" But after I saw different prices and brand names I'm more confused than the begining for example Future shop has a Norcent 42" Wide Screen EDTV for 1800 Bux and a Toshiba 27" Wide Screen Flat Panel HDTV for 1500......
Just wondering if any of you have a suggestion based on personal experience....and If you know a place where I can get a deal..... you know those Tv's that "Fell off of the truck"
