I thought so too, until I put it on a sexy house beat I am working on and I think it sounds pretty good to me know, hopefully now just because I am doing it.
Cant wait to finish it and let you guys hear it, if you appreciate house you will be able to honestly tell me if its allright. I will definitely try it at my gigs....
I agree, its a good song, but its difficult getting used to him singing an urban flavoured song. It has no Latin rhythm in it. I am doing a house remix of it and submitting it to Sony so we;ll see how it goes. I did take out the Fat Joe part though,
I will do a new megamix for the music section here soon, and I will put it in there, maybe you guys can tell me your feedback. Just waiting to record some synths and master it, and it should be allright.
DJ Alonso, hey, I heard this one when I was in New York in July. Its very different from what he used to sing before. this one is hip-hop flavoured. Personally, I don't think it fits him. He tries to rap in it, and unless hes got great backup (I don't think fat Joe does anything for him, Fat Joe is better off by himself)....its not that great. The chourus is catchy....."I Don't care, I just wanna be yours......" its kinda like one of those songs that get into your head that you cannot get out. But anyway, I guess if you mixed it in with a bunch of other stuff, its alright. Just don't play the whole song. Just my opinion!
