So you leave it running for those three minutes?

To answer your question, I always turn off the water while I lather/condition my hair. It's a habit for me because back home we always had the problem of water shortage. Sometimes we would have no water for weeks even so everyone is forced to collect water in cisterns, barrels, buckets, you name it. I remember we used to leave the tap open with a bucket there and then finally some water would start falling. Cisterns are usually on the roof directly above the washrooms so water would not always have the force to make it up there and so you have to fill buckets up and fill the cistern yourself. Sometimes it wouldn't even make it to your home so we would go to the closest neighbor who was able to get some and fill buckets from there. So, yeah, I had to learn to take care of it the hard way.

Now that I'm here I have the luxury of chosing whether I want to waste water or help conserve it. I choose to make the most of it because I've learned to appreciate it. And like I said before, out of respect for those who can't make that choice.

For those of you who still think that nothing happens if you waste water and that it's someone else's problem and not yours, I suggest you do a little google search on water shortages in Canada. Still think you've got nothing to worry about?

Something as vital as water is taken for granted in places were it is abundant and where it's hard to find it becomes as precious as gold.  I think that a person who doesn't have the luxury of opening a tap to get their water would find it a slap in the face that others just let it go down the drain because of the little extra effort involved in closing the tap.

Shikes… I think I further complicated the idea with THAT!

LMAO

Perhaps, I should take a SHOWER while I brush my teeth with the SINK tap open? Maybe catch a lil water on a cup and save it to make my morning coffee as well??? LOL

In that case… blame my TEACHERS… they NEVER told me I should shut down the tap water when brushing my teeth… all they said was that it was important to brush them every day… I guess the lessons have been upgraded to a new version and now it says we supposed to close the tap…. Darn, I GOT to go back to school for this to re-learn!

You didn't answer the question. I really want to know. And thanks Daeveed, I'm sure the dental technician will appreciate the work you'll be bringing him when all your teeth fall out.
