dj prieto started all the hype enough for us to make it a reality

As far as the idea, well i can take some of the credit eventhough DJ competitons have been done in the past.  But not like this one, it's pretty much well organized thanks to S.B Team.

just an idea, put DJs in a separate room, give them numbers and let the people choose their favorite.
That way, you won't have DJs bringing in a bunch of their friends to cheer for them

DJ competitions in the past (years and years of trying) have not been very successful......they are either based on favoritism OR popularity by crowd reaction (mostly friends cheering).....they have never been based on skills......mainly because 6 out 10 Latin DJs in Toronto, don't have the adequate skills.


What are you going to do different?


Will it be based on a specific genre? What will the prize be?


Turn tables? Just CD's? Both? Accessories?


And most importantly.........WHO WILL YOUR JUDGES BE??


My Suggestion: Get the TOP 3 Toronto Latin DJ's to judge the upcoming "rookies".   Their requirements must be that they have at least more than 10 years of DJ-ing WORK experience.....etc


OR BETTER YET.................Bring 3 non-latin dj's to judge based on skills only.....OR even DJ's from MTL.....that way there is no favoritism between DJ judge and DJ competitor.....etc


PLEASE DO IT RIGHT!!!!   LOL

I think it sounds hype Prieto!!!!

Im sure the people would love to see a DJ Competition.  It will give DJ's a chance to show the people what they are all about.  A chance to show whats up and to highlight the talent that Toronto Latino DJ's have
