At around the same time, a 19-year-old man was gunned down on Glendower Circuit in the Birchmount and Finch area. He was using a cellphone, when another man walked by him. The next thing he knew, shots rang out and he fell to the ground wounded. His injuries aren’t bad, but he refused to co-operate with police. And it didn’t take them long to find out why. The victim was wanted for another shooting that took place May 8th on Birchmount Road. He’s been charged with assault with a deadly weapon and weapons dangerous, and will make a court appearance in the near future. By the time the clock struck 1am, crews were back out again, this time to Dundas and Spadina. A man was grazed by a bullet fired by a bicycle cop. The two had been in a struggle in an alleyway downtown when the suspect allegedly grabbed the officer's gun. A shot was discharged but no one was hit. The cop was able to regain control of both the situation and his weapon, thanks to the help of some passersby, but received a bite to his forearm and a cut to his elbow. Twenty-eight year-old Chay Luu is facing a variety of charges, and is now awaiting an immigration hearing. And finally, about 2:15am, a male was shot in the leg near Allen Gardens. Authorities say a man was talking on a pay phone at a gas station when he was approached by two other males. As one engaged him in conversation, the other suddenly pulled out a handgun and opened fire. He tried to run but didn’t get far. He wound up at St. Mike’s for treatment. It’s the only major case of the night where police have a good description of the culprits. #1 is: Black, 5'10"−6', 180−200 lbs., Heavy build. #2 is described as: Black, 6'2"−6'4", 180−209 lbs., Thin face, Beard, Goatee, Shaved head. While police admit they’ve rarely seen so much violence in such a short time in so many different places, they’re equally amazed that with all the rounds that were fired, no one was killed. And they've got their work cut out for them - there have been no arrests in any of the random shootings.Chief Bill Blair has issued a statement condemning the violence, attributing it to the work of “small numbers of young men [who] engage in gunplay in heavily populated areas.” He’s ordered more patrols by members of the Guns and Gangs Task Force, in order to show those with their fingers on the trigger cops and the community won’t stand for the violence.

Do you know that those are restricted weapons ?? Anyone who owns (or carry) those weapons, is liable to be prosecuted under Ontario law. If you do not belong to a firearms or hunting club and you carry those guns without proper licensing you are BREAKING the law. So, if you own one, (or more) of those firearms and have the excuse of "protection", you better watch out buddy !! The RCMP will be on your case so fast that your head will spin.
