Break ups are hard and everyone knows this. But i'm sure u have heard that saying "If you love something let it go. Believe me, I have heard of couples that split up for years and then end up back together because they come to realizations. So dont give up just yet. Maybe this is just a much needed break. Seriously speaking though, I gotta agree with Gitana. Been in the same situation, i dont want to go into details though. You can always love and care about a person, but if ur not in love, what's the point. I dont see why people should stay together out of convenience, or for kids, or any other reasons if the flame is not really there. As years go by, u may end up resenting that person even more and it makes things worse for everyone. You may want to read or look at Dr. Phil's website. I find he's got amazing advice.

I know that after being with someone for 3 years it's very hard to let go. I was there once, I was with someone for 4 years and also engaged, and it turned out that things just weren't meant to be! It killed, i'm not gonna lie, but it's better knowing now, than finding out later when you have already taken that huge step in your life.
Personally I learned from that experience, and through that experience I have grown as an indivual and I now view things in a different perspective. It made me a stronger person in every aspect.
I know exactly what you are going through, and honestly if the flame is no longer there then it's best to just let go of things and move on....
