genie, I think people are trying to let you know that they don't appreciate your negative attitude and yes you are harsh wether you want to see it or not.  I dont think it's that anyone really cares as much as it is people pointing out how negative you and your friend are so that you can see how bad it looks and sounds.

@Mikita I agree with you 100%!  It's always the same negative girls coming on here trying to give their two cents when they have accomplished nothing in this industry other than hurt people's business and complain.

 

I am glad to see that Sabor Nuevo took the time to get on this foro and say that they have nothing to do with bashing these ladies that are trying to make stuff happen.  There can be more than one latin night downtown and we can choose where we want to go and sometimes going to the same place gets boring.

Congrats to Sabor Nuevo and Dimple on everything and most of all remaining calm and respectful in a thread full of hate and negative posts.  I guess that is why you are the ones actually making things happen!

Yeah there is jealousy big time! I think girls that party a lot and meet people somehow confuse that with being an expert in the entertainment industry?  I think that somewhere these two girls got confused.  I agree that you should not waste time replying to people that do nothing but come on here and put down events, CD's and promoters.  I can say one thing I would never in my life hire girls like these for any event period.  If they are as well known as they say they are (doubt it) then they are burning bridges big time coming on a pulic foro and being so negative all the time. Negative, hateful and jealous people are the type of people you do not want in this industry.  Latinos in the community need to be united not bashing eachother.

Just because I am not hosting yet another Latin night in toronto (in a non-latin venue might I add)and promoting a major concert, it doesn't mean that I am not involved with this industry. It's a known fact that WORD OF MOUTH is the strongest source of advertising and that is something I can easily do, due to my loyal friends, my following of people who respect me with no hypocrisy...in addition, my closest friends and family members are an immediate part of the industry world wide, so from experience (behind the scenes) I can pretty much do everything from the sound, the bar, the door to my specialty: SPREADING THE WORD!

so even though I am not showing "face" or posing as the "album cover" to an event, I can and have been involved in major as well as what you might consider minor productions.

PLUS I have a full time job and I'm not hated by my own community

TH has their own photographer who documents the events and i was not behind him the whole noght telling him who and when to take his pictures so you are going to have to talk to him about that. if you do want a picture of his performance we have many, you will have to get his permission to have them but i'd be more than happy to provide those. and it was many peoples birthday that weekend.  THAT’S FINE U DON’T HAVE TO BE BEHIND HIM/HER THE WHOLE NIGHT BUT I MEAN IF IM PAYING FOR A BANNER AND THEY COME TO COVER MY EVENT IM GONNA MAKE SURE THAT AT THE BEGINNING I SAY PLEASE COVER ALL ARTISTS AND EVENTS BECAUSE TO ME AND THIS IS JUST ME IT LOOKED LIKE FAULSE ADVERTISING HAD IT NOT BEEN BECAUSE I KNOW FITO I WOULD JUST ASSUMED THAT HE DIDN’T EVEN GO OR PERFORM (ALEX BELLO I KNOW WAS SICK) AND ME BEING PROFESSIONAL I WOULD SUBMIT MY PICTURES AND ASK TH.COM FOR THE CREDIT WHICH IM SURE THEY WOULD DO (BUT THEN AGAIN THAT’S JUST ME!!).  OH ITS OK ABOUT HIS PICS THANKS BUT ILL JUST GO OVER AND TAKE SOME {LOL NAW IM PLAYING GIRL}

as far as the dj...he's a wicked dj and in high demand... so for him to miss one of our nights is completely understandible and ofcourse its manageble because as i already mentioned we had a guest dj. Our resident dj is not forbidden to enter other clubs... like c'mon now girl. if he was at que chula i hope ya'll enjoyed cause he truly is on of the cities top notch. GOOD POINT NO COMMENT ON HERE!
