That right there, is the epitome of a good dj. He has the musical knowledge, he can mix anything, he can remix anything. He is definitely Canada's number one DJ. I don't want to make this seem so scientific, but please, make educated decisions when saying that one person is a better dj than another. Things are not always what they appear to be....... The crappy set of Pioneers he was attempting to make music on had absolutely no pitch and just weren't cutting it anymore. Coming from a musically inclined background Haye's father owned a set of turntables and would play lover's rock, blues even ska beats at functions and private parties. His love for and appreciation of good music began at a young age. He even remembers playing around with some of his dad's vinyls before getting into serious DJing, some of which are still a part of his collection that he still plays to this very day. DJ Aristotle’s first real gig was in '88 in Mississauga at the now R.I.P. Changes Nightclub where he played hip hop, r & b and reggae…But, before that it was house parties in the basement for friends and countless hours spent perfecting and developing his own sound and style. From the early days collecting house music was a part of his plan too, though not necessarily having the opportunity to spin it in clubs at first. That would soon change. In the late 80's, the house music phenomenon was more of an underground scene. "Songs like Good Life and Big Fun by Inner City, I bought it when it came out even if my first love was hip hop and r & b," he pipes in, making sure I understand that he isn't a DJ limited to one genre of music. In 1988, when house music really came into the limelight, Aristotle was already ahead of the game. He's proud of the diversity that he strives for in his playing style and genres: "I've had so many different nights, for so many different types of clientele," he added. How is it that after years of spinning he doesn't get tired of the same old thing, I wonder? The answer: "You have to collect everything so you don't get tired of what you do, it's like a nine to five job for me but at the same time it's fun." It's actually more like a 10pm to 3am way of life. "Music's the way of life, music is my everything, it can make me happy, it can make me sad, music's my all & all…music's my love, music's my life, it means the world to me." An opinion and heartfelt truth undoubtedly shared with many music lovers and DJs dedicated to their art. Over the years, Haye's record collect has grown exponentially as he continues to collect doubles even triples of records he already owns just in case he decides sometime to get a little creative and spin songs back to back or maybe if he's looking to trade a records or heaven forbid one of his vinyls gets scratched and starts skipping. As his record library continues to grow so does his admiration for all kinds of music, "Over the years, I've done all types of buying: retro, rock n' roll, whatever had a groove, had some soul to it." Finally someone who knows!!! .Djing is about creativity and also about bringing the creativity so people can FULLY enjoy..not just from one set or another ...the WHOLE NITE should be enjoyed. . and yes a perfect example of an awesome DJ is DJ Starting from Scratch...I also think Baby Yu is good and well as for latin DJ's especially mixing Reggaeton..theres is no one at least that I have heard my self ike DJ Kazzanova...Hes really good. Some people should take notes from all these guys mentioned above....

I think that all the dj's deserve all the CREDIT IN THE WORLD bacause it takes GUTS to be the life of a party and that is a DJ without them there's no fun in a CLUB. Respect to all the dj's doing there thing Dj's Cana Dulce, Carlitos, Gamboa, Alex, Prieto, Megamixxx, El Sonido, Sabrosura, Diamante Sound, Travieso, , Dinamita, Master, Demenace, etc. ..todos if i forgot your name it's maybe cause i haven't heard you play or don't know who u are. RESPECT TO ALL THE DJ'S REPPIN T.O y sus paises!!!!!!

I went to his last one this past Friday. He has an old skool jam once every month, its called Amnesia. But I dont know, this one wasnt that great, he didnt even get up to spin till late, late in the jam.
Maybe he had an off night? I dont know? But usually that event is sooo hype!!! I'll let you know when the next one is, maybe you can come and judge for yourself

4 sure!! Scratch is an amazing old skool dj! However, his past old skook jam wasnt as great as ones he's done in the past. Scratch didnt even get up to the dj booth till like end of the jam.

If you like Scratch, check out DJ Grouch, he's wicked when it comes to scratching.

As for Spanish ones, DJ Bad Boy Steve kills the reggeaton sets, Carlitos Way is amazing with Salsa sets, and Cana Dulce is amazing as well.

Honestly guys, in my opinion, I like Starting From Scratch. He plays the wickedest old school ever.......but I love old school, so maybe Im on a class by myself?!

OK dj Prieto! My thing is the way you asked the question you have to be more politically correct! Im not trying to hurt you here i do agree some djs need to fix up there sets but others do a great job thats why ppl keep coming back! Im glad to see you not about gettting them all against each other and stuff. BUT HOW ABOUT ASKING WHO IS IN YOU OPINION THE BEST AND WORST DJ AND WHY? YOU SEE how its more specific and not open for everyone to start bashing! who are u sick of hearing?? and why? Look we all love different djs for different reasons. Plain and simple.

And i have heard you spin you are pretty good but i heard you set of Reggeaton at Fregata i gotta admit it was good!
