Yeah, satellite is a better option in terms of quality of programming, but I still want to see the local scene flourish, plus I want to know what's happening in my own community. TV in the States started off small, just like us Hispanics are starting slowly but surely to improve here in Canada, and I hope that we just keep advancing and eventually make good tv (and radio and media and businesses and music, etc.) because that's how we will all better ourselves as a group. I know, this is a lot of BS, but my point is, I want good local television, not american.

I second that motion Satellite is the way to go and when you calculate the quality of shows you get as compared to TLN you get your money's worth with Satellite. So dump TLN and go Satellite all the way. TLN don't give a F..k about the LAtin community.

we could do that, or we could encourge them to select better programming to provide more variety and selction to thier viewers.

It's probably not the end, but hopefully that'll be the kick in the a$$ they need to start improving the shows. So far they were the only ones and they never gave a rat's a$$ about local programming, but having competition will either make them better or just give up completely. Let's hope is the first. By the way, I read in Metro that RAI starts on June 2nd, so there goes the Italian portion of TLN.
