thnx for all the replies, i couldn't have said it better myself, sounds to me like u and i have the same taste when it comes to bachata (old school bachata is my fav). Not really sure about them being the first all female group but it sure is the only one that i know about.
About Xtasis, i have to agree with u 100%, in case u didn't know I am their #1 fan haha.....

Hey Anonymous, I think you read the thread wrong. The band is an oldie. The cd they are featured on is more than 10 years old I believe. Click on that link.....They are not new, actually, they are one of the pioneer bands of bachata (Hey X, was Bacharanda one of the first female bachata groups?)

Hey X, I'm an Old Schooler as well. I kinda liked that one you chose. It sounds different, and its refreshing to hear women singing bachata. Grupo Xtasisss has a woman lead singer as well and she sounds great, but definelty there should be more, I agree. I say pump the song. It should prob. be remixed tough, cause it sounds a bit repetitive.

Haven't heard of that group Bacharanda before, I did click on your link and listened to the sample.  It's great!  I LOVE BACHATA!!!  Pump it    Any bachata is good with me.

I just listened to the sample of that song - has a nice beat to it - Pump It!


The lyrics do sound somewhat familiar... was that a cumbia song turned into bachata?

Okay, I remember back in the day when bachata was just getting started and not many people like it, there was this group called Bacharanda (all female by the way), I have never hear it at a club and i think is a gr8 track that people can really get in to, plus is diff because like i said is a female group.

here is the link to the cd where u can find a sample of the song (That CD is TOP NOTCH!!!!!)
