This law system is ridiculous... If she gets off in 6 months its basically approving the fact that you can easily neglect and leave your child to die and in a matter of 6 months you can go back to your everyday life... There is something definately wrong with this picture and the law system needs to improve and open there eyes
I read the story yesterday! She has done this in more than 1 occasion ... I mean babysitter of daddy could have taken care a la nena ... I think the Crown is appealing the decision ... Supposedly she had no remorse, that is soooo wrong! Not anyone to judge but come on now, esta muchacha si no la queria a su hija pues que su daddy la cuidara mejor.

That’s a good point; the media is notorious for this kind of inflammatory remarks towards minorities.
Hopefully the decision will be reviewed and the sentence amended like in the case of that couple that kept their two kids locked up in cages. Originally their sentence was a joke too but it was reviewed and changed to a more suitable one. Hopefully that will be case here too.

could not believe it 3 Yrs what kind of sentence it's that , I swear the system is setting a good example on how easy it's to get a way with murder of innocent children . I wonder if the court system does not realize what they have done .
All these Irresponsible people out there that call themselves Mother and Father now know how easy it to get away with there irresponsible action as parent even if it can cause death to there little ones . I am a single mother and I would never do something like that I don't even leave my kids with a babysitter only family member , I would prefer to miss a good jam any time to leaving my kids alone .
When I heard about this story, I was crushed. After hearing the sentence, I was crushed even more. Canada's court system should be reviewed because we definately are becoming a laughing stock to the rest of the world. 3 YEARS?!?!?!? That poor little creature went through suffering until death so that an irresponsible person that dared to label herself a "mother" can have the possibility of walking in 6 months?!? God will judge her.

That's pathetic and outrageous... she should've gotten a lot more. I hope that the guilt chews her up inside and that the rest of her life be a living hell... I'm sure not a day will go by when she won't regret her stupid and negligent actions...
