I would either take it as a compliment (as in you have dreamy, nostalgic, melancholic eyes) or as an insult (as in you have spaced out, pot-head, mirando al icaco kinda eyes). Like the other poster said, it also depends on the attitude of the person who said it. But like you said, since the compliment came out of nowhere, from a stranger, you did good in taking it as an insult. Good comeback!

I think it all depends on the tone and body language de la persona que lo estaba diciendo.  Body language and tone of voice will most definately be the best way to get a good reading para saber si lo esta diciendo como un insulto or if it was a compliment.


P.S.  Thow actual cow pics postings made me ROLFMAO
