Well what can I say Anonymousl  I do agree but it has nothing to do with the other people culture. They are a united and you can get upset with that, however it's the actual Latinos that does not help one other. I feel sometime they hate to see another latino go up in life. How do you know that maybe A LATINO is renting the space for Friday to the owner. He is probably a young guy trying to promote, but because of your comment you are not allowing us to help a LATINO out. And you talk about us as a LATINO to be united. I think you have a problem....

According to the Toronto Sun, we are the 6th largest population in Canada and we don't have a "latino-town" anywhere. The Koreans who are listed as the 9th largest have more businesses than us!! They have little Korea and what do we have? Mercado latino?? My point is simply this. I'd love to spend a good dollar in a latin business, but frankly there aren't any that give the deserving service for my blood and sweat money. "

I have to agree with you on this one! If we are the 6th largest population in TO donden estan todos los latinos!!!

We have many opportunities to grow in this country, but some of us don't have the courage or the drive to do it!!! I do think if we get together as a latin community we can create many things for ourselves..

Hey you guys got me all wrong. I simply stated what I rather do with MY money and where to spend it. I didn't suggest anyone do as I would. I wasn't hating to begin with and I stated it wasn't a racist comment. Do what u want with ur loot and call me racist if it makes u feel good but i'm gonna keep spending mine in latino-owned businesses cuz at least i'll know that the $ i earn through my sweat and blood will eventually help some Latino/a pay his/her rent, that some latino kid is gonna get dental treatment, that some young latino student is gonna pay a college tuition. Believe me I ain't racist, But if anyone should enjoy the benifits of the money I work hard for I'd rather it be another slightly BROWN muthafaka just like ME!!!! even if I never have the pleasure of meeting them.

Chinitos, Portuguese, Italians and East Indians have spent their $ within their own communities since they got here. Look where they are now. We can get there too.

And Genie anyone with a room for 400 ppl will open their doors to our "community" @ $10 a head plus drinks and pay our starving musicians way below union rates to perform. It's not that they like our culture, they like your latino dollars. And lastly Genie, Couls you please explain what's so "cultural" about salsa and bachata? Just curious, maybe I have the wrong idea of what culture is.

I frankly believe that this event is good. It proves that the Latin owned clubs are too cheap to hiring bands. The Filipino community opened their arms to another culture. Maybe we can learn from this! Case closed!

It doesn't matter who owns the club........the artists that are performing are LATIN.....that is who you are going to see and support.
