Re-take of the Oath was done yesterday due to the mistake made.  If it wasn't really necessary why did they do it again?

yes i do think that during the campaign he convinced enough ppl that he could do the job... otherwise, how would have he gotten elected.. and its not like he won by a close margin either.. it was very clear how the american ppl voted. shrug.gif

is not just that is also the fact that the american people are ready for a change, i mean look where bush has put them now, there is no other way but up Obama just has make it happen now.

Its undeniably incredible how an African American got elected by the same people whom discriminated his (and other races) decades ago.

i was there. didn't feel like getting up at 3 in the morning to line up or anything, but i got there around 11am and made my way close to a video screen with a friend. every time bush was shown people booed like crazy. and they sang hey heyyy gooodbyeee... it was so loud - i'm sure he heard.

it was pretty nuts! so many people... so much energy. there was an african american couple standing in front of me crying their eyes out in joy. history in the making.

a lot of things will change over the next few years and maybe he'll be able to get some things done and not others, but today will always be a beautiful snapshot in time.

Yesterday I got new equipment at work, including a 19" screen smile

I can't believe all the events around the Inauguration.  These guys really go all out...big money attached to it.  I thought his swearing in was kinda fast.

I'll be watching it from work on CNN.com.

After seeing the crowds just now, I think I'm better off watching it on tv.
