here's the problem with gay couples adopting children..... even if people think this is "wrong".. how would you police it. you can't forbid this stuff
you can't really stop a gay person from making an agreement with someone else to carry their baby for them, etc. can't stop a lesbo from going to a sperm bank (how do you prove she's a lesbo? she could say she's straight).. etc
since there's no way to stop it (whether you agree with it or not), the least the government can do is give gays equal rights so that these kids are as protected as they can be.
A state in the US legalized gay marriage & now wants to take it away. What about all those people that got married? Does the marriage then become void? Do you agree marriage should be between a man & woman?
Personally, I think that's messed up. You can grant it and then take it away. If they want to be married to solidify their marriage, then go ahead, let them!
