I never expected this thing to blow out of poportion. You really had it coming to you salsadoce. But on the other hand, some of the latinos in here are taking the "defense" too far by turning it into unecessary "offence".
Let's clarify one thing. Salsadoce does not represent all Italians. She might be ignorant for her comments but throwing in comments offending all the Italians is making us look pretty low if you ask me. Let's remember something: Italians are on their 3rd or 4th generations here in Canada since they first started immigrating during World War II. Us latinos started immigrating here late 60's early 70's so that makes us younger in terms of length of stay here in Canada. We still have room to grow. We're not just a bunch of factory workers and cleaning ladies anymore. We have our Latin people working executive jobs and getting into university as well. Now THAT'S what I call progress.
Although salsadoce made remarks without thinking about the consequences let's not demonstrate that the latin community is full of people who will stoop that low and start insulting every Italian. We should admire them as a whole for their conrtibution to the Toronto community. One reason why I state this is because I have alot of admiration for one member of the Italian community and his name is Chief Julian Fantino. He will no longer be our Chief of Police but if you guys take time to look at his contributions, you'll find admiration for him as well.
Just a little tap on the shoulder for you who come in here and just start spitting insults. That's not who we are. Take this opportunity to show everyone that the stereotype others have on us Latinos is mere bull****.
Showing Latino pride is not insulting other's heritages, but being admired by other heritages.

You know what I am finding it very unfair that just because of one ignorant person who is representing Italians in a horrible way, you guys begin to come on this foro and start disrespecting all Italians.. Im Italian and I do not agree with salsadoce at ALL!! But I dont think its fair that you guys come on here and choose to put down all Italians. I think it would be more effective if you put salsadoce down personally rather than attacking Italians... She has no right to come on here and put down the latin community and I understand how that upsets you guys but put her down not all Italians..
