BAD Idea....as many of you know...I think grown ups need to live in their our..either single or married......and the BS of "we are saving for a downpayment" is just lame....sorry thats just my opinion.
BAD Idea. No matter how well you get along, there's always going to be some ish coming up. No matter how much you try to keep things separated, you'll always be sharing something. If you have no choice, or you're saving for a home -for example- I suppose it's ok. But if you have a choice, I don't see why anyone would

What about if you live in the basement and they live upstairs? And you pay your rent, food etc?
yes it is a bad idea if u r in one room and they are in another but if u have the basement like u say and they live upstairs it should be no problem as long as they respect ur privacy and ur space.
Couples need their privacy for many things, including .... Even to have an argument, a couple need their privacy. The in-laws don't need to know what's going on.
I'd rather pay more and live away.
