Let's pretend mrs bin laden is working in UPS and she is wearing her burka ...and all the sudden she falls and looses an arm because her burka got stuck in the machinery...
She will sue them right......
Now if they ask her to wear safe clothing she will sue. If she get hurt she will sue..mmm
didn't somebody filed a case about the same nature a year ago? a muslim guy refuse to pay the one hundred and something ticket for not wearing helmet when riding motorcycle (proper equipment, that you MUST WEAR for safety reasons.
He says is discriminating and racist. the complainer wishes to be allowed to wear his turban (i don't know the name) at all times with out being harrassed. and wants the ticket to be dismissed.
I feel the same way...it makes me upset when I read this stuff.
They want Canada to respect their religious view and way of dress and make no compromise when it comes to it.....BUT take adavantage of the health system, education etc and think Canadians need to cater to them.
I think as a westerner or anyone else who goes live in their country one would need to adapt to their ways right! So why can't they adapt to the life here in Canada??? mmmmm

Eight Muslim women who filed a human rights complaint against the United Parcel Service (UPS) over a dress code dispute, have settled with the company.
"Everyone is very happy," said Jacquie Chic, lawyer for the complainants, after announcing the agreement at a Canadian Human Rights tribunal this morning.
Chic would not discuss the terms of the settlement. The file will be closed once copies of the agreement are sent to the tribunal, said Karen Jensen, panel chair for the tribunal.
The women, all devout Muslims lost their jobs in 2005 because they refused to hike their skirts above the knee over their long pants. They argued that Islam requires them to be fully covered for modesty and alleged discrimination on the basis of religion and gender.
UPS said the ankle-length skirts were a safety hazard as workers climb ladders up to six metres high. Only "a gap in the process" allowed the women to work there for up to two years without being told their clothing posed a risk, a UPS manager previously told the tribunal.
The issue grew more complicated when The Star revealed that the mosque the women cited as a religious authority is disseminating slurs against Jews and Western society. As reported in today's Star, the Muslim Canadian Congress is calling for the charitable status of the Somali Islamic Society of Canada, which owns the Khalid Bin Al-Walid mosque, to be stripped.
The mosque preaches strict adherence to Islamic law and no compromise with the West.
