Hey sabornuevo is Grand Flamenco Hotel in Punta cana the one with that CLUB named "Mongu" or "Mangu" (i could have it spelt wrong).
Anyhow I was there last June of 2004 with my friend Fea & other girlfriends & we had a BLAST !!!! People in our resort were just Great so friendly & nice (resort employees & other tourist). Food was GREAT for me, although some friends had the runs. LOL, LOL. Sorry I had to, Too Funny !! Never mind I was so sick like a pig, but Not with runs. LOL.
Well back to the topic the point is that this club wasn't part of our resort, so we had to pay to get in & for drinks, it wasn't expensive at all & it was so Worth it.
Girls..............the BARTENDERS in this club were Gorgeous, so SEXY !!!! It was at this club were I first enjoyed reggeaton & I actually started liking it, ever since i"m so hooked on it, even my non-spanish girlfriends that came with us. They love Reggeaton.
Our resort was "Punta Cana Princess"
I just notice I went to a Princess resort. Hahahahaha. Now that explains. LOL, LOL
I almost forgot to mentioned "Puerto Ricans" holy sh_t the men I meet there were to die for. Solid as rock (hahaha) & so nice.

Cuva is cheap cause its really poor. If you go there make sure you bring extra soap and shampoo to give the people they really appreciate it when you bring them basic neccesaties.

That's really sad... having to act like you're not a native from their country to get good service. But it happened to me too, and I bet it happens to everyone else. We went back home and some people were really nice, while others just completely ignored us. I guess there's a bit of jealousy and resentment because we're the tourists and they have to serve us. We tried to make the best of it, though, and those who were nice, were really, really nice.

I worked with a lady once whose husband was fired from a very senior position in a financial company. They were both in their late 50s. She spent the time we worked together trying to help him find another job and it was really hard 'cause he was an older gentleman. I left the job and then a few months later I got an e-mail from her. Her husband found a job at Turks and Caicos, making tons and tons of money. My friend was thrilled! Can you imagine? What I can't believe now is that I didn't keep in touch with her. I could be visiting her there... I'm such a fool.

Yep you are right it is expensive. I am not sure when Princessa checked it out but a girlfriend of mine went on her honeymoon and it was expensive. The best thing to do is try and go last minute sometimes you can get a great deal that way.

Hey babes I've been to Bahamas & I don't recall it being expensive or any different to a trip to Cuba, but I could be wrong.
I went all inclusive for one week a while back and it's beautiful, great food, nice people. I can't really say about night life so much cause I really didn't party but sightseeing & shopping is fun.
I would like to go to ARUBA & that's really expensive, if you want a nice hotel & the whole nine yards.

CUBA CUBA CUBA.....great times!!!! I try to go every year and I just NEVER get bored of Cuba....I LOVE VARADERO and I think the best hotel picks there are:
1. Melia las Americas
2. Tryp Peninsula Varadero
3. Grand Hotel
All of them are awesome and have wicked entertainment teams!!!!
COSTA RICA is also AMAZING but a little more expensive. Looking for a quick CHEAP get away....CUBA is #1!

@ babes.......it's good to know that Cayo Coco is a nice place to go. I've also heard really good things of that place.
I went to Veradero & I had an AMAZING time as well. The party was Crazy there.
I enjoyed my resort a lot, it was a good hotel, but the food in Cuba.....I'm sorry was sh_t or at least my resot (Las Brisas del Caribe.....rated 41/2 stars when i went) so I don't understand what happened.
Either way we found "PIZZA NOVA" and that's where we eat all the time.......of course out of our pockets & it was NOT cheap.
It was overall a Great time, But my FAVORITE is "LAS VEGAS" boy is that place AWESOME !!!
