Daddy Yankee llevará su Gasolina a la pantalla grande. El raperísimo, según detalla el rotativo Primera Hora de Puerto Rico, actuará en una película, un proyecto que encara "con todos los power", ya que será además el productor ejecutivo. El propósito del filme, titulado Talento de Barrio, es exponer las vivencias del intérprete en el celuloide. Haz click en el video y gózate las confesiones de Daddy Yankee.

El rodaje de la película, informa la publicación, tomará lugar en el pueblo de Caguas y ha sido pautado para iniciar en marzo. Daddy Yankee, quien ya probó suerte como actor en la película Vampiros, expresó que su mayor interés con esta nueva realización es motivar a los jóvenes a luchar por el éxito sin importar donde se hayan criado.


"Esto es una historia real que impactará e inspirará a las personas para que escojan el mejor camino en la vida", sostuvo el raperísimo. El intérprete de Gasolina agregó que no tomará clases de actuación, sino que dejará que su caracterización de Edgard fluya lo más natural posible, guiado por los consejos de José Iván "Chiván" Santiago, director del filme.


La película, cuyo costo podría superar el millón de dólares, estrenará entre septiembre y noviembre del 2005, según se anunció.


En el reparto está también la rapera Glory, quien caracteriza a Tata -una madre soltera de tres hijos concebidos con tres hombres diferentes-, así como Tego Calderón, Eddie Dee, TNT, Maestro y Baby Rasta & Gringo.
