This was back in like 2001 - and from what Iiiii recall, yes, there were dudes dancing with dudes and girls dancing with girls.  But I don't recall seeing guys kissing each other.

Maybe you should check it out personally to get a first hand experience of what it really is lke.

Convento has a mixed crowd of gay, bi, and straight people of both genders. I think they are/were well known for their "Drag Queen Shows" (not sure if they still have them). I went with some cousins visiting from NYC to check it out once and other than seeing men dance with men, it's not much different than other clubs.

Going into Convento Rico doesn't make you gay or bisexual.  If you're a straight male, secure with your sexuality you won't be afraid of going in there (fear of being labelled gay by ignorant ppl? )  Besides - most gay men have a gaydar (gay radar) that can tell whether or not YOU might be one too and likely won't be hitting on straight males.
