Brazil failed for the third straight time to win a World Cup qualifier at home, getting booed by its fans at Maracana Stadium during a 0-0 tie against Colombia on Wednesday night.
The five-time champions tied Argentina 0-0 in June and Bolivia 0-0 last month in its previous home matches. Brazil hasn't scored a goal at home since a 2-1 victory against Uruguay in late 2007. It is Brazil's longest period ever without a home goal in World Cup qualifiers.
Still, Brazil (4-1-5) is second in South American qualifying with 17 points, six behind Paraguay (7-1-2) and one ahead of Chile (5-4-1) and Argentina (4-2-4). The top four teams qualify for the 2010 World Cup and the No. 5 team advances to a playoff.
Colombia (2-3-5) is seventh with 11 points, two behind Uruguay (3-3-4) and one back of Ecuador (3-4-3).
Fans loudly jeered Brazil coach Dunga, in danger of losing his job after the disappointing result. Some chanted "Goodbye, Dunga!"
in one of Brazil's few scoring chances, defender Juan missed with a header in the 30th minute. Striker Jo also had a couple of chances in the second half, but none too dangerous.
Colombia, relying on counterattacks, came close with Darwin Quintero's shot in the 50th and Wason Renteria's strike in the 70th.

First off read what I said... I said that chile was determined to win and if they showed it on Sunday it would have been intreating to see the out come off the game. They played smart not dumb like on Sunday..

I didn't get to see much of yesterday's games... Very disappointed in Ecuador loosing to Venezuela for the second time in this qualifiers! Hopefully they can do better in the upcoming games... I'm really gladly surprised on Brasil's and Argentina's under-performance... it's making the race to the finish line that much more interesting.

y daaale with the Sunday game, let it go already man, tuvimos ke sacar a nuestro motor "Matias Fernandez" 14 minutes into the game por la expulsion, that threw us off completely, did u watch last night's game against Argentina? Fernandez played amazing y movio a toda la roja. Fernandez is the same guy that got "Mejor jugador de America" two years ago y el ke le kito la titularidad a Riquelme en el Villareal, do i have to school you in soccer too, we have enough with GOD and his non sense comments about futbol...
They played so well....they played great actually. I couldn't sleep after from all the excitement

seems like the top teams brazil and argentina dont care less to play all their best en el comebol ....i dont blame them alot of their players are also busy with the champions league in europe.....so they must feel all piled up to the max...
i dont think colombia is strong enough to make it.....they dont have key good players...at the most it just looks like they r tieing every game and just sliding through

lol.... I actually WAS thinking of betting, but then... What I had in mind, was: At our next "get together" -if you know what I mean- You had to wear the Argie shirt if we you lost, or vice versa. That would've been fun I dodged that bullet. Phew!

this will be the one and only time that ill give u guys props lol!....cause u guys played very well.....totaly opposite from what we seen un sunday.....suazo was hammering the ball.....as well as vidal...everyone played great attacking and attacking.....
