This morning I found a cell phone a student left behind.  She didn't even know she lost it.  Her b/f called the cell and I answered the call  lol.

Anyways, it's not the first time she lost her cell.  I told him you're lucky I didn't call my cousins in Europe!  His answer was some people like my g/f "just don't change"

Similarly - I found a cell phone yesterday, it said "LG" so I assumed it was MINE! blankstare.gif  Later in the evening, there was a couple of phone calls that I ignored, 'cause I was busy wathing Prison Break - lol.  Near the end it rang again, and I decided to answer - it was the owner who happened to be a neighbour a few doors down... I asked her to call me in another 15 minutes when the show was over... so she did, we met, and I returned the phone! hmm

I hope She doesn't notice the phone calls to NYC, NJ, China, and Ecuador when she gets the bill! blankstareblankstareblankstarebiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

You just reminded me of this sales guy, when I bought my last phone. He explains to me how it all works, etc, and at the end he says: ".... just don't get water on it and don't drop it" So I gave him this smirk and thought to myself "Duh! No fu*king kidding, Einstein!!"

I haven't lost my phone yet but I've had them fall cry

I did lose my sin card once and the TTC guy found it and called my house..yikes!  I think I got scolded that day biggrin

Were you like 10 and no boys were allowed to call? biggrin.gif

This topic reminds me of a co-worker's story.  She had lost a phone like 2 weeks after she bought it.  She had gone out to a bar/club and didn't notice it was lost until the next morning.  So she called and some dude answered and he bluntly stated he wouldn't return it to her.  He reported the loss to Robbers (aka Rogers) that same morning.  When the bill came the next month - the bill was like $450-$500 dollars.  The guy had used her SIM card do download all kinds of games, music, programs, etc... She worked out a deal to have her bill reduced by about half of the amount.

That day a couple of us called Rogers and had internet access blocked from our phones so that this would not happen to us.

Well I blocked internet access on this phone because it automatically dials it.  My phone is a slide and when something touches the face it dials lol.  I miss my internet though....it's good to have for looking up emergencies.

Year ago though Bell wasn't that forgiving for land lines.  Thank God for calling cards!  We use to get calls on our bill that didn't belong to us and we had to pay, unless I called them and argued.

You mean outside people would "hijack"/use other people's land lines to make international calls?

To your previous question....yes i was young like 15 or something.
Apprently when Bell or any company prints the bills/ statements the charges can jump into another's account.  That is what they told me.

The situation with my friend was that he moved and didn't disconnect the phone line until 2 days later after he moved from his apartment.

I know someone that forgot to disconnect their land line from Bell and his phone got jacked up to close to $7,000....yes he did pay Bell! chew.gif

So.....are you giving it back or selling it on Ebay? hmm

The b/f came to pick it up for her this morning.  What a nice guy!  He seemed concerned for her lol

He probably won't give it back to his girlfriend and just sell it on Ebay giggle.gif

She's gotta learn somehow shrug.gif

I told him to scare her up a bit biggrin and if that doesn't work than she'll be like my friend with the $7,000 debt

I haven't lost a cell phone yet... My phones somehow just end up damaged. The first one I had dropped it getting out of my car on the street when going for breakfast on a rainy day... noticed phone was missing when I got home... I drove back and found it on the street - run over by a few cars... bleh. My razor got damaged when my kiddo was on the electric stairs and she fell... I just hope my new baby lasts me for 2-3 years.
