I have a pink kangaroo on my hip/thigh...it does have meaning bacause the kangaroo is symbolic of Australia and my time there.

It was the first time I left my home and a real growing experience for me...its when I became who I am now!

...so YES! Mine has meaning!

I don't have any; but if I was to get one, it would definitely be one that HAS some kind of meaning - most likely related to my daughter.

I have one on my lower back, it's a design. It has no particular meaning, i just fell in love with it when i saw it.
So, i got it. I still love it.

I don't think i'd get another one though. I don't like them on the arms, legs, or shoulders. At least not on a girl.

This is a very open ended question, and could probably be answered in a lot of ways.

The two types of tattoos I have heard people getting are:

A) Spur of the moment tatts. You pick a random one off the wall that looks nice, lay down the money, and get it done. Most people who I know that go this route get very common tattoos (like stars, hearts, etc.).

B) Meaningful tattoos and/or "well thought out" tatts. You either make the design yourself (or the basic idea of one), and/or you pick something that symbolizes a very important part of yourself/your life. I know people who have tattoos just because they like them, or tatts that hold a lot of meaning for them.

I have a bunch of them, I've got a dragon on my back, stabbed geisha on my thighs, mermaid on my ankle and stars

does your tattoo have a meaning?

I have an angel on my lower back and over each of the wings is the name of each one of my daughters in Hindi writing.

The angel is because i am a spiritual person and believe that God and angels watch over us, although at times it may not seem like it, sooner or later we realize that some things are a blessing in disguise.

The Hindi writing is because i really like Hindi culture, and my daughters do as well.

The meaning is pretty much straight forward.  Un angel de la guarda que cuida y lleva a mis hijas en sus alas.

I do plan to get one or two more, dont know what yet.  What meanings do yours have?
