I find starbucks very strong and often get a tummy ache if I have too much.  I drink it more of a treat and not often at all.

It's all about 'status'. Silly, but it's true. I'm happy with my dollar forty-nine cup-o-java. shrug.gif

Maybe if they would just absorb some of the losses and just make a zillion, instead of a gazillion, percent mark-up, they might still be able to get away with charging un ojo de la cara for a friggin mocha-latte-caramel-grande-mochachino (aka, coffee)... or whatever the hell they're called! and keep those stores open
SO overrated!! can't believe people pay that much, on a regular basis, for coffee. I mean, it's COFFEE!!

Starbucks to Shut 500 More Stores, Cut Jobs

By JANET ADAMY
July 2, 2008; Page B1

Starbucks Corp. on Tuesday effectively ended its era of blanket expansion by saying it will close 500 more locations in the U.S. and cut 7% of its work force.

The pullback is a sign that the Seattle-based coffee giant is continuing to see weak sales as high gas prices and other pressures on consumer spending prompt Americans to cut back on extras.

The company said it will eliminate as many as 12,000 full-time and part-time retail positions.
great! just what we needed. i feel for those workers.
