I actually rather have rabbit instead of chicken. I find it juicier. And tastier. Moose, the way my mother in law makes, it is like a stew, and when she does, i'm ALL over it. It is so tender it melts in your mouth. Man i want some NOW!!

Rabbit: all depends on the praparation... si lo cocinan bien, es bueno, obviamente... I've had some good rabbit! I also like the way the Portuguese cook it!

i can go weeks without eating meal, but the day i go back to it. i end up eating a 3 pound baby pork rack. is not easy NOT to want toeat the damn cow/pork/chicken. anyone tried rabit?
Rabbit is sooooo good. Baby goat is also good, moose is really really good, and deer is not too bad. Geese, meh, i don't like too much.

Is it a matter of pricipal... better eating habits, or...? I wasn't kidding when I said I was curious about the reasoning behind it. Not to mock you or anything, but I'm genuinly interested. If you can handle it... good for you. I'm sure it's a lot healthier. Anyway... you don't have to share if you can't/don't want to. Just curious

Well cows drink cow milk right....puppies drink milk from bi tches...and so on.....we drink milk from a COW....makes no sense really when you think about it.
Meat...well...same deal. A real carnivore would see roadkill or a bloody dead cow and instantly think "ummmmmmmmmm food"....we do not. It's just not natural when you really think about it.
@ Jinx...good for you!!! Well I am married to an Argentino so you can imagine how things are with him. I still cook meat and chicken I just don't eat it. He makes BBQ every weekend of his life in the summer AND winter. He thinks I am NUTS. He does not realize that he has gone from eating meat every day to once or twice a week if he is lucky - lol. Whatever I let him do his thing and he needs to respect my decisions. My daughter only eats chicken or red meat once a week. I want her to make her own decisions in life....religion, eating, EVERTHING so I will not impose my vegetarian thing on her. She can decide when she is old enough if it makes sense to eat it or not. I find cutting out yogurt and eggs the hardest but I cut eggs out already. It's really the only thing I miss.

It's hard for me to be a full fledge vegetarian, my honey is a big time red meat lover. I tried so many times, but we eat red meat once in a while. We are more chicken and fish lovers, sometimes tofu. Just the thought of steroids in milk, red meat and chickens turn me off a bit.

So I gave up all chicken and cow flesh almost a month ago now. I have my own personal reasons for not eating flesh anymore. What is the big deal? It seems like to latinos it is just insanity. My own family (except my daddy..he is the best) thinks it's insane. This past weekend I had to go to a BBQ and when I refused the meat people were like WHY? When I explained that I was no longer eating it they looked at me like I was from another fu cking planet. WHY? What is the big friggin deal???????????????
