I understand and I AGREE with that. What I am saying is, that if I knew that $8 is going to avoid the situation altogether, I would have likely just handed it out for that not to happen - mainly because there were visits at home.
If I had known the crazy motherf'er dad was gonna go Chilean on me, I would've given the kid a kidney to avoid the scene from happening.

In RETROSPECT I would have just handed the $8.00 and avoid the stressful situation altogether... Specially since there was company/guests in the house. Not sure it's worth the hussle and stress.

Hummm interesting! Okay first off you better give the Sun (which I am disgusted you even read) a call and follow up with how they have rectified the situation. So yesterday I'm at home with the buffsters and my mom and the father of our paper carrier comes to my door. His son has come a couple of times charging me for the paper, and I've explained to him that we pay directly through the bank and he has to make arrangements with the Sun to get his money, but I guess he's a little slow and didn't get the message. Someone from the paper was supposed to call him too to explain this, and I thought they had.
In any case, the father comes and as I'm trying to explain this to him he starts getting more agitated. I ask him his name and he starts mocking me and then starts yelling at me that I'm a thief and I'm stealing money from his kid. It became a little scary so I asked him to leave and closed the door on him. And he continued yelling from behind the door, telling me he's going to take me to court (this is for 8 bucks, BTW ) and that I'm a thief. Finally he left when I threatened to call the police.
I have NEVER experienced anything like this (except for the time when I also opened the door and there was an ACTUAL CRAZY WOMAN who wanted to come in and kill me), but that's another story. It was insane how this man (a white... how do I put this delicately?... white-trash looking kinda dude) just went crazy on me. I didn't call the police last night, 'cause not only are we the only hispanics in my block, but we're pobably the only non-caucasians there, so I didn't want to draw attention to us, 'cause who are they going to blame? Yes, the troublemaking latinos. Now I've let the paper know and the police (they can't do anything, it's too late) and the paper said they'd do something about it.
Has any of you experienced something like this? What would you have done in my place?
