Im just saying, that the picture above might not be real.

It doesn't have to do anything with nationalities, I posted because it was on the front page of El Tiempo,  the nationalities are irrelevant, in fact I would have picture that, happening the other way around, and worst things has happened in Colombia,  but  what shocked me was the collective action and acceptance by all the people, and how woman and even kids were involved, it shows how difference the perceptions of justice can be...of course those guys deserved it a big paliza (they could have been easily linchados and killed only  with punches), but the method used, I think that's the worst way to die, and for a moment a imagine the whole situation...(and I guess the images didn't help either)

Duro, relax...sorry for  el amarillismo, I don't care about the diplomatic tensions at all....Ekua is one of my favourite countries with some of the nicest people

I think this just shows how tired people are of the indifference/inefficiency/corruption of the police.
It's barbaric, yes, but in desperation people probably just ran out of options
If cops won't do anything, I guess they'd want to show crooks that you just won't screw around as you wish, as they would amidst cops.

Similar situation back home. A friend of the family just came back and witnessed a thief getting the crap beat out of him on the street, as a woman pointed him after he stole her purse.
I'm sure they'll think twice about doing it again if some sort of 'justice' will take place

yikes!!!

thats some crazy stuff....

but i guess is just going to get worst before it gets better, I mean the police doesn't help and at times they are also part of the crimes being committed....

I guess the people felt like they had to take justice into their own hands..

It's way too much for just some theft of material stuff ... What if the relatives of the dead Colombianos want to take justice into their own hands now? hmm  I guess the police were to blame, in part, because ya lo tuvieron arrestados and they allowed the people to get them and do what they did.
I agree in that there is way too much corruption down there and sadly many of the corrupt people are cops, who instead of fighting against lawbreakers, they are part of the problem and assist/help the bad guys.hmm

I say a good beating could have been excuseable; but murder and inceniration is going way too far for just a theft. hmm

it wasn't just a theft they also killed the 60 year old man, they shot him 8 times and took his $10,000 dollars....... I know is too much but, it was going to happen sooner or later, the people are tired of all this colombianos coming to ecuador and doing nothing but steal from everyone else,( not all of them but most) and the police/government not doing anything to help them fix the problem.

This new from a town in Ecuador really disturbed me: these two Colombian guys stole some money and killed this old ecuadorian man....they were caught by the police, but the crowd took them away from the cops and set them on fire in the central plaza....I agree that they deserved a hard punishment...but this....
