try flight center ...they always have good last minute air fares ....

staying in jersey??? lol its gonna take too long to get to NY....especially near the lincoln tunnel....were traffic is a **** you can stay in any of the other boros with a cheap hotel and just a subway ride from Manhattan.... dont listen to these peeps!!!disbelief.gif....i got the NY ins and outs on lock ...number1.gif

its all depends where u wanna stay.....if u have a place to stay then your all set if u dont mira panita

if u wanna be a highroller and chill with all the stuck up whities in manhattan then a hotel there will cost you a bit too much coin....i would say find a motel on the lower east side...east harlem to be exact or uptown northern manhattan ..washington heights<<<(hot dominican shorties allover) ....you can find the most economical htls in those 2 areas....(since u sound like your on a student budget) and both areas r close to all the attractions in manhattan ..times square madison etc etc.....hop on the subway and u will be there in no time thumbsup.gif

now if u wanna be a bad a$$ and be around the whole reggaeton mix with all the hispanics u can ever think off then try the south bronx queens bushwick bklyn etc... just to name a few of the many places.....you can find great affordable hotels in any of those boros...if u really wanna still be close to manhattan ...i would say ur best bet is to stay in queens anywhere in woodside jackson heights corona <<<<areas were all the ecuatorianos chill at number1.gif   u can hop on the number 7 train and easily get to times square in soon time....

dont forget to go to copacabana number1.gif altho it will have to be on an all ages day for u cuz the clubs there r 21+  rofl.gif

but me and u both know why u really wanna goto ny ....cause off all the sexy approachable slutty latinas that can be found anywhere....number1.gif  esta bien panita ...remember they chop u there !! not like here were u gotta work for it in order to get laid hahahaha

good luck ma boy!

For bus fare you can probably find something for $175 .

If you're going alone, bus is probably your most economical choice unless you find a carpool.

If you're going with 2-4 people, it would be best to rent a car.

For accomodations I recommend finding something economical in Jersey and commuting to the city via bus or train.

I agree!

I stayed just over the Lincoln tunnel on the Jersey side....super cheap and easy to get to the city in no time.

how much are coach buses? for groups??

We rented a car for our Chicago trip and ended up paying 140 bucks or so in the end. We thought it was reasonable. It was with Avis.

Via Rail is also having a Montreal/New York sale for the next two months, I think, so check with them. Maybe they have it for T.O. as well.

You can also put an ad on Craiglist or Kijiji and carpool with somebody... and just hope they're not an axe murderer fear.gif

Check out the different car rental places - Budget, Avis, Discount - it varies, depending on the size of the car and the number of days needed, of course.

check out the different airlines and flight ticket sales such as :
http://www.aircanada.com
http://www.cheaptickets.ca
http://www.destina.ca
http://www.expedia.ca
http://www.travelocity.ca

After you find the best deal, report it back to me - I'll be looking to go to NYC soon too! biggrin
