How often did you call? I think in high school at 14, I would call a friend or two just to talk for half an hour. Cus i was to hang-up rite away.

Did you only call the boys you liked or did you call everybody? I NEVERED called a boy untill my first b/f at 17. Girls here & there a bit more often, but boys....OMG they would think bad rite away. I got caught once on the phone with a guy friend...OMG never again.

Well with me ur statics are off, cus I was brought up literally alone, just my cuz on the weekend & for a few hours only. I never went to the aprk alone or ride my bike alone. AWW i was very sheltered.

You still have the mentality de nuestros abuelos.  I was somewhat raised to believe that boys should have a bit more freedom than girls... I think I know where you're coming from and I was somewhat missguided to believe similar things - but deep down, we know that it's not right.  No es justo que por ser baron o por ser mujer debamos tratar a nuestros hijos de una manera diferente. 

As a parent, I would hope that both my boys and girls focus on education first.  I hope that I treat them fairly equal and encourage them both to strive and achieve their dreams.  Like I tell my lil girl - if a boy can do/accomplish something (fight/run fast, get good grades, blah blah), so can you and if you put your mind to it, you can even do it better!

I remenber when my son got his first call phone call from a girl I was so proud off him, and that was in grade 3 and it hasn't stop since that is why I had to get him his own cell
