only 2 reasons y chile won the folklore competion.
1. i temporarily retired from folklore dancin last year
and
2. some amazingly gorgeous girl in that group witha n amazing smile and spectacular body *salivates* lol

I think they made up categories just to include every artist and latin event in Toronto... well, not everyone, there's a couple of names missing there.  I guess they ran out of ideas for categories. It's also funny that they also included every member of the extended family of the owner. no.gif

Do they do this every year?

Grupo Chile, contó con uno de sus mejores años en Toronto, al ganar el Festival Folklórico Internacional de Radio Chin en la Exhibición ante miles de personas a principios de julio de 2007

Nuestro Ranking Annual Artístico 2007 seguramente traerá varias sorpresas por el buen desempeño de cantantes, grupos folklóricos y eventos internacionales a cargo de afamadas figuras que hicieron gira por Toronto. Chayanne, fue el concierto organizado por una empresa latina a cargo de Jorge Pérez, de mayor categoría y gustó a todos los miles de asistentes a un inmenso auditorio en Brampton. Otros numerosos artísticos exitosos fueron Shakira y su categoría mundial lo mismo que Ricky Martin, Marc Anthony y Jennifer López, traídos por empresas anglosajonas. Julio Sabala, El Gran Combo, Willie Colon, Pablo Montero, El Combo de las Estrellas, Jerry Rivera, Los Tigres del Norte, Charanga Habanera, Andy Montañez entre otros también se presentaron en el área internacional.

Otro destacado hecho que llevó más de mil personas estuvo ligado a la solidaridad con el evento a favor de los damnificados peruanos que alcanzó una ayuda económica de cerca de 25 mil dólares. Julio Sabala, se lució en el Festival Toni Reyes 2007 ofreciendo una muy buena actuación.

La televisión internacional a través de los sistemas digitales se destaca por sus transmisiones de noticias, shows internacionales, telenovelas y deportes. En cambio a nivel local cada vez es menos la participación con espacios comunitarios; en ese sentido sobresale espacio semanal Hispanic Roots en la cadena ONMI que cumple su cometido con gran esfuerzo. En festivales el Hispanic Fiesta sigue su tradición, mientras el de Toni Reyes en 2007 fue uno de los mejores.
