I have a cousin who recently came out to the family. Unfortunately he didnt listen to my folks about keeping it to himself or at least waiting for a better time to come out. Mind you this is back home in Honduras, my other cousins beat the bejebus out of him and left him for dead in a caņera field. He's always been cool with me, I would of never thought he was of the gay folk. Now the family don't talk to him or his folks...completely cut off from the family. Although im not too fond of the gay folk, as a parent i dont believe i would disown my child. I would prefer them to be straight as an arrow.
as for what danny is saying, i gues the majority of us men do think that way. I know my pops told me the same thing, que si salgo YMCA patitas pa' la calle. I just hope que no tenga que soportar un dolor de cabeza como ese de saber si un hijo(a) es gay.

as a mother I would prefer my kid to be straight but if it happens that she/he becomes gay or lesbian what can I say I will always love my kid no matter what

I have seen this type of SAD story so many times. When I was in my early teens my first real job was in Hazelton lanes which is FULL of gay men. I made many gay friends who I am very close with to this day. I used to hear the horrible stories about how their families turned thier backs on them. One guy I know even tried to kill himself when he was only 18. I don't understand how you could do that to your own child. I just don't get it. You are supposed to love your children unconditionally. I think it's disgusting that there are people that dont.

I would preffer my kid(s) to be straight - - less hassle in the world that way + I would be able to have grandchildren when I reach Dogo's age (biggrin) - a little selfish, yeah.
As a parent, I don't think one can stop loving/caring for one's kid for being gay/lesbian. C'mon we've been in a new millenium and seen homosexuality become more acceptable over the years - it's not like we're back in 1950 and everyone was in the closet. There are gay parades and gay scene/bars downtown - homosexuality is no longer tabu. Dany you can come out of the closet any second now!!!
