baina first of all what kind of car do you drive.. If you want that type of alarm i am hoping you drive at least a luxury car. Otherwise its not worth to put an alarm that is so expensive

I don't know how "kick ass" they are but mine appears to work, or at least never got broken into or stolen (not that anyone would want to)
It's alarm, starter, no GPS though. I think it was about 4 or 500 bucks
I don't know what YOU are looking for, but it sounds expensive blankstare.gif

I'm looking between a good alarm system......or a good car recovery system.

I'm been looking at Boomerang. They're directly linked with the cops......a signal goes out as soon as your car gets jacked.......90% of cars are recovered within an hour of been stolen......

I'll check the one by your shop....

I'd really research it
I also wouldn't be so swayed by the big names or the price tags
You might end up buying a system for a grand, that will do the same than the $300 one. And BTW, if they end up towing your car (which isn't THAT unusual) the 'kick ass' alarm would prolly do caca
I wonder why people don't do the 'kill switch' so much here
I remember my dad, back home, had a kick ass kill switch, yet so simple (I guess alarm systems where too expensive so a guy came up with it) Once you turned your car off the car was totally dead, and only come back alive once you would 'reset' it, and only THEN could you crank it and start it
You would reset it with a tiiiiiny button, that you could hide under the dash or anywhere in the car. It was the size of a rice grain and you couldn't really see it, unless you had a lot of time to look for it. And since you could install it anywhere, it was vitually impossible to find. You would just push it and the electrical system was reset and ready to start. I wonder why they don't that here.
maybe WE shouldhmm

I'm not looking for your cousin Ramon that gets the alarms from the Indian guy down the street....and installs them in their home garage......

Your help is greatly appreciated!!!!!

Thanks!
