Ecuador still has a lot to prove... Playing against the Argies will be tough... Argies are coming off a loss and they will be hungry for points.  But Ecuador is almost desperate as we only have 3 points in 4 games.   If Colombia did it to the Argies, Ecuador has a chance, specially if they use Kaviedes, Hurtado and maybe by then even el Tin Delgado!

Yea peru play with a B ( or maybe C ) because those players from cienciano were never called for the national team before. Anyways , that is not ecuadors fault, they played a good game, they deserved the win . And even if peru play with the A team I am not sure if they could win ( or even tied) against ecuador in quito. But, obviously the chances were better.

duro , there is a B team. The players you saw playing today are mostly from cienciano , peruvian team that plays in cuzco ( 2700 mts above sea).
Take a look at perus regular starters for the past 7 games

Butron ( did not play)
Rodriguez ( did not play)
Acasiete ( played)
Vargas ( did not play)
Galliquio ( did not play)
Solano ( did not play)
Marino ( did not play)
De la haza ( did not play)
Farfan ( did not play first half)
Guerrero( did not play)
Pizarro ( played)

The team you saw today was peru B team.
2 weeks before the game , peru national coach had the idea that it would be better to make two peruvian teams , one that plays in el llano , and one that plays in high altitute ( against ecuador , bolivia , colombia) . He was highly criticize for this , by he went ahead and did it. Results?? goleados !!.

I told you guys , peru was playing without their start players. Farfan was left on the bench . The only two regular starters on the team were pizarro and acasiete , the rest of the team are not even players that play in the bench.

Peruvian coach decided he will start the players that were more suitable for playing at high altitude and left out 9 starters (injuries, yellows, some out) for this game.

Peruvians coach del solar made a big mistake thinking peru could stand a chance with a B team.

Ecuador played well though , I give you guys that
