The concept of friendship is very fascinating. Someone once told me "friends are the family one choses for oneself". so to me whether they're friends from years back o friends I've recently encountered, they both have roughly the same importance in my life.
personally, im not really close to anyone because I have friends in many different walks of life. As far as hanging out with people, I do spend more time with new friends simply because I don't wanna drive to Brampton. even when I spend half my time in Saugga.

Okay, here's a question...do you feel that your old friends are there for you more, or your new friends? Which friends support you more? The new ones or the old ones? In my opinion...I would say that my new friends show more support then my old ones....discuss
My old friends were there for me and had my back when I needed them the most. Had it not been for their support, I don't know where I'd be today. Honestly. So I do have a very special place in my heart for them and we still sort of keep in touch, but have grown apart somehow: different lives, different interests. The new people I've met in the last few years I like a lot but I haven't been in a situation that calls for "I need you people, come rescue me" kinda deal. But they're tons of fun and I'm sure, if the need arose, they'd be there too.

I say im on the fence i have three really good old friends that i can call on at the drop of anything! and they will be there but i have new friends that i can go to with some issues and get true advise from! so either or its all good but i do agree with Sweetness there are some things that new friends will understand and help you with better then older ones! but then again the older ones know all ur pains and sufferings!!

Okay sooooooooooo I am still really tight with about four of my friends from high school. We tell eachother everything and are super close!!
I must say though my new friends (CF) are awesome and even though I have not known them as long I know for a fact I can count on them for support and help if I need it!

Well, i can honestly say that there are 2 old friends that are pretty much still there for me.
In the past 2 years, i've had big stuff happen in my life, and the old friends that i expected to be there were actually the ones that took sides or became indifferent.
Now with my newer friends, quite a few of them i have met because of foro, these are ppl that in the past two years have really been there for me and my kids.

For me it's old friends, my best friends are from way back in high school & not only becuase we've know each other for ever, but we've done pretty much evrything till this day together. We all keep in touch & even thou some now are in different position like: married, b/f, etc. We still manage to be ther for one another, it's really amazing how we stay real & there for one another. It's a very small group of girl (3)but I LOVE them to death (especially my fea, with her it's even more then just friend, she my sister).
The new g/f I have now I still enjoy TONS & luv spending time, but I'm not sure if they will be unconditional with me, althou I've never tested them.

My old friends are there for me more. Especially my best friend. All it takes is a phone call and a request and he will do whatever he can and support me in whatever I need.
