I saw Jerry Rivera years ago at a banquet hall.  I must say I prefer the locations that concerts used to be in back then.  Now is he even a big deal anymore.  I used to really like him.  I honeslty could not care less now.  Kind of like Joe Veras.

40$ for a jerry rivera concert is not bad at all

Taking into consideration that there will be other bands performing ,plus the "surprise" danny gave away earlier ( which will be a bonus if it actually happens). I think its a fair price

jerry rivera its not you "local talent" kind of artist, promoters also have to make some money out of this ( thats their job)

Palazzo seems like an ok venue to do the concert, at least you will avoid all the traffic going on in other locations. The place is big. And security is ok

I would not worry too much about the sound, last concert the sound was ok.

I think many artist will sound better on a CD than live , because on a CD they ll edit the mistakes, so you are really paying to see the artist and ofcourse his music

I will be going with some friends, unfortunately we do not get many big latin names in toronto , and I always like jerrys rivera salsa

See you there to all the ones that are going!

I heard too much of the "boy band" genre over the weekend.... anyone else know that "Charanga Habanera" was a Salsa Boy Band???  I sure didnt. 

$40 for a ticket.. sounds reasonable. Palazzo is somewat of a good location, if the concert flops then we can always go to Pro Cafe, right Dogo??

THat only depends on how much you like the band.
I don't think $40 vs $30 or $20, is going to break anyones bank if you reeeealy like the band(It's already $10 to $20 to get IN a club) Good or bad sounding, still seems like an ok deal for a night out, and it's not really going to ruin your night if you really like the artist

I remember back in the day, when The Stones threw a couple of surprise concerts at RPM, you couldn't get a ticket for under a grand (IF those who were lucky enough to get one, were even willing to SELL it). I doubt RPM had "concert" quality acoustics. Those people would probably disagree with you

$40 for a live band is good - BUT $40 for a live band sounding BAD is NOT GOOD. I rather buy a CD of the band and listen it at my car stereo

So put me on the NOT GOING LIST

I don't think the crowd would be much different if you do latin concert @ Docks or at Palazzo. And security seems ok at Palazzo, so I don't think I would worry about that
I thought most wouldn't want to see a concert @ Palazzo because, plainly, the sound is really bad in there for a concert
I won't be going because it's just not my thing, but good luck

BTW. c'mon people!! $40 for a concert is too much? you serious?
This ALWAYS surprises me about the Latin community.
So $40 is too much. What would be a fair price? $30??
So you WOULD go for $30 but NOT for $40? So for a ten dollar difference you would actually NOT go to a concert that you really WANT to go?? weirdface
