Ecuador played great, but again what was the score again what is the point of playing great if u can't score, my opinion is that the coach has to go he made some stupid changes, first off all he took out Lara, when he should have taken out Tenorio out for not scoring with an open net, and many more chances that he had..
@Chile
To tell u the truth Argentina didn't impress me that much, Chile looked good, but if they had there player they would have looked better

Yeah like I said earlier I thought that we would have gotten an a s s kicking with our missing men and then the red card. To be honest I think that if it wasn't for the free kicks they would not have scored.
About the Ecua game. I have read many articles about all matches yesterday and most say the same thing. They lost the goals that they lost in the first half and came back sluggish in the second.

i don't think so he did what he had to do, they needed forwards and tenorio is one of the best, they had the chances in the last min but they just couldn't put it in or the goalie stopped it and u r right they play gr8 but if they don't win it don't matter, but like i said is just the first game and they didn't play bad at all they had good plays and possession of the ball at all times, I really think they have a good chance vs Brazil, don't u?.

Honestly I don't think Ecuador played as well as they should have. I don't understand those of you who think they played great Imagine how they might have lost if they had an off game It's Venezuela people they should have beat them and if they were playing "great" then they would have.
Chilenita u have to be joking, I sure hope so because if u don't, I guess u don't know soccer

Okay perhaps I am not expressing myself properly.
I am not saying that Venezuela outplayed Ecuador okay!! Now that we got that straight let's move on to my point.
Ecuador should be able to pull off a win against VENEZUELA!!!! I do know soccer and that is why I am telling you that if Ecuador was playing "GREAT" then they would have won. Playing "great" would equal winning. I think Ecuador should have been able to pull off a win against Venezuela and I think they should be dissapointed at the fact that they didn't.

When a team dominates a game the way Ecuador did u can say that they played a gr8 game, but like any sport luck plays a big part of the game and Venezuela had all the luck with them not just because ecuador hit the post and miss the open net but also in the goal they got where it did hit one of the ecua players......Ecuador has a good team and its only the first game, I pick them to put up a good fight vs Brasil like el Mismo said it should be a good game and i wouldn't be surprised if they come out with a win.
I am dissapointed at the fact that they didn't win but not at the team 2 diff things, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I'm not missing this game for the world!!! Its going to be a hell of a fight....

So if Ecuador played "Great" as Ecaus here claim so, then they would of won, so meaning they didn't really palyed that great cus it wasn't a victory.
So Chile didn't win either with there "good team" cus they didn't have there good players, got a red card, which equaled a player less & Argentina got lucky to get those free kicks, if not this would of meaned they would of kick Argetinas a$$.
Come on now.
If both these teams played well, then only with victory can they be aknowledge a good game.Don't think. If it comes down to that then both teams suck!
I agree with you, for the first time ever, I think! Ecuador lost, but they played a good/decent game. A victory / the score cardoesn't tell the whole tale all the time!

So did you guys see the red card against Chile? What did you think?
BTW Ecuador does have a cute president. I saw him comment on the game.
I had a super busy Saturday - barely managed to see Ecuador's second half of the game. Missed everything else. But surely they deserved it - Chilean's and their brawls!

If not for those 2 free kicks the score would of been Argentina 0 - Chile 0. It was a really exciting game.
I KNOW !!!! F U C K I N G free kicks! I hate watching them play Argentina...Messi is like a little bullet - UGH he is so fast. Like I said on the other thread. Although I am not happy about the loss I think it was an okay showing against a powerhouse considering we are missing men. Oh an considering we played the second half less a man. What did you think about that????
@LGIG...Oh I know it's the first game that is why I am saying something needs to change. Perhaps Mismo is right. Too much confidence.
Perhaps we should do what ARGENTINOS do: injure our upcoming opponents a few weeks before game time!
Ugh

the first 1o min of the game Ecuador played really well, after that the game became boring. I think ecuador came " muy confiados" that they'll beat Venezuela.
The game with Brasil should be a good one, thats when we'll see what ecuador is really made of.
I think they will play better against Brazil. Perhaps not a win but play better.
Well now Brasil needs to prove them selfs at the next game, with the tie with colombia, they will be pushing really hard for a victory with Ecuador and the same goes for ecuador.
If not for those 2 free kicks the score would of been Argentina 0 - Chile 0. It was a really exciting game.

I am not disagreeing with you in the fact that Ecuador SHOULD have pulled off a win against Venezuela and sure we're all disapointed at the fact we didn't.
But just to clarify - I was not the one saying Ecuador played GREAT - only that we did outplay them, at least the second half, which is what I saw. I guess my only point is that it's just ONE GAME - and that although Ecuador should be analyzing and thinking on strategies for next game, it should not start a blame game and pointing fingers at the coach - or anyone else - for the simple fact that although we lost to a lesser team, we were not embarrased by them. I think we can still hold our head high, be proud of our team's performance and hope we do better on Wednesday against those Brazilian superstars

If there is one thing I have learned over YEARS of watching soccer with Chileans and Argentinos is to NEVER be satisfied with a loss.
Che was VERY dissapointed that Argentina didn't score more goals on Sat. I agree CHILE was a man down with a red card and they didn't score on us. They are one of the best teams in the world and they should have at least scored one more under the circumstances.

Pfffffttt... she's Chilean - SOCCER BRAWLS are her passion. Even if her team isn't involved it's just for pure fights!

I missed the whole first half and apparently we hit a couple of POSTS - came close to goals. Second half we were definately the better team with better opportunities to score. But coming close doesn't account to anything on the score sheet. Anywayz, it will be a lot tougher against Brasil... but it's not impossible! Go Ecuador
I still agree with Duro. Something is wrong. Perhaps it is the coach.
It's just THE FIRST game. We lost OUTPLAYING them and having the better opportunities of goal. I hardly think we should get THAT concerned as to start thiking that something is too wrong. Every team will have a good game where they lose to lesser known teams. That's the beauty of the sport - it's 11 men vs. 11 men and though some teams are expected to do better, shtuff happens and there are surprises. I wouldn't start pointing fingers for the loss after a game that we played better than the opposition. If anything - PLAYERS missed CLEAR opportunies to score right in front of the net!!!

Plus we've beaten Brazil before, so I'm still hopeful & we got a good chance.
Gooooo Ecuador Goooooo
We played sooo good PROPS to Ecaudor palyers (lets admit it) & althou we lost (dumba$$) () I still think los Veenzolanos were sweating it & they didn't even think for a second they could of won. Either way they won & that's good for them.
I saw the game and the highlights. I didn't see the ball bounce off of anyone. I saw it get kicked from the half way mark and go right into the net.
I think Duro is right something MUST be done. If they can't pull off a win against Venezuela (no offence) then they have to work on something.
Are they playing in Brazil?
yes they are playing in Brazil and it did go off the ecuadorian player.
and i think duro is wrong ecuador had a lot of gr8 chances they just didn't finish and the other goalie did a good job at stopping everything.....after watching the game i think ecuador has a good chance against Brazil.
Viva la VINOTINTO!!! ................ Fue un golazo el que le metieron a ecuador................
el gol que metio Venezuela - rebote de un defensa Ecuatoriano que desvio el balon no creo que califica exactamente como GOLAZO. Pero de todos modos fue suficiente pa' la victoria. Good for Venezuela - fawked up for Ecuador.

your right ecuador outplayed Venezuela, but I think it's time to let go off the coach, he made some stupid changes, also the venezuela goalie played amazing he stopped everything coming his way
I missed the first half of the game but I hear Ecuador hit a couple of posts... Second half I got to see and Ecuador outplayed Venezuela and had by far the better opportunities to score. Pero para nuestra bad luck, Venezuela managed to meter un lucky goal - free kick, of the back deflection from an Ecua-player. Now we face wednesday the mighty Brazilians in Brazil. Fawk - things didn't start good for us!!!
ARRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
THERE - I feel like I let off some steam now!
